SANTA MONICA, Calif., April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- "Girls Gone Wild" producer Joe Francis today filed a $25,000,036.00 defamation lawsuit against a Texas woman who accused him of drugging and raping her in Miami, Florida on March 12, 2004. Mr. Francis previously said through a spokesman that the charges were untrue. He said not only was the sex he had with this woman consensual, but after she awoke the next day she stayed for over 2 hours and ate a hamburger and French fries, which was ordered from the hotel's room service.

The suit, filed today in Miami, Florida, details the many inconsistencies in the woman's statements to police and the media. Amy Doe, as she is identified in the suit, claimed that she and a friend met Francis at Club Bench in South Beach at approximately 2:00 AM. Francis however met the women at Mynt, where he was accompanied by six friends and his bodyguard, who is also an active police officer. The group returned to Francis' hotel where he had consensual sex with Doe in the suite's bedroom, while her friend and Francis' bodyguard were in the same suite. The next morning Doe claimed she awoke unaware of the previous night's activities and ran from the room for the hospital with her friend. However, as the suit details and witnesses can attest, Amy Doe and her friend stayed and cordially chatted with Mr. Francis the following morning and, in fact, stayed for almost two hours while they waited for their lunch from room service. Before leaving, Amy Doe wrote down her telephone number for Francis and encouraged him to call.

"This is a vicious, untrue allegation from which the facts and witnesses vindicate me," Mr. Francis said. "I won't sit back and be called a rapist. Rape is a very serious crime that I personally find disgusting. As a son, and as the brother to three sisters I love very much, I would NEVER have sex with a woman without her consent."

Mr. Francis added, "I not only want to be compensated for $25 million for damages to my reputation and my business caused by these absurd allegations, but I also want to be reimbursed for the $36 I spent on the hamburgers and fries these women devoured before they left my hotel room. If she was going to make up a story that she had been raped, she should have mentioned it before she asked me to buy her and a friend lunch."
