But of course! :) I can already start, hehehe:

4/13/04 - He called at 7:00 AM to get the phone number for his bank and instructions on how I magically got a live person on the phone when he didn't think it was possible :awinky:

He didn't know when he was leaving yet, but he'll be in San Antonio by tonight.

I think the first I'll hear from him is on Sun, Mon or Tues. when he has 3 minutes to give me his address. I am HOPING they allow them to call their Mother's on Mother's day. :( But I will probably only get one or two other calls before I head down there Memorial Day weekend for graduation. :okthumb:

Thanks for asking :)

Right about now I can pretty much assure you he is thinking ...

From what I understand the Air Force boot camp is pretty tame.... he will do well. Lots of hot chicks sign up for the Air Force as well - just make sure he does not get any knocked up!!

I think that will probably hit tomorrow morning at 4 :awinky:

They say on the website about calling home the first time "Try really hard not to cry - it will just worry your parents" lol! :P

Peaches,

Memorial day isn't too far off at all :)

Jeese I had basic and ait together, 14 long weeks in OK. Went from the hot of summer to the cold mornings of Nov. Man graduation day was the best!! I was a lean mean machine, or so I thought :)

I know this sounds really mean, but I am loving this: He is finally realizing that not doing what he is supposed to do has consequences. I told him weeks ago to get a USAA account and get all the direct deposit information. He didn't get it until last week. I told him last week to contact his recruiter to make sure everything was OK. He didn't do it until yesterday. Seems they have to have an original bank signature on his DD (which is just bizarre, IMHO. I've never had to do it that way). He had to go to his local bank - thank goodness there was a branch near MEPS. Apparently the OTHER recruits knew about this because he and one other guy are the only ones staying in Atlanta another day.....he's not going until tomorrow. Which of course will get him singled out. He's not happy.

The funny thing is that he tried to argue with the AF about this. They didn't care. They control the picture on the television screen. Do not attempt to adjust your set. He is under their control :P
