Yikes thats one long game, we were planning on going out an hour ago but this game kept goin' so I hopped on the computer.

Braves once again beaten by the cubs. Braves fans don't even give a shit about their team, except when its playoffs and even those only sell out half we paid regular price for playoff tickets in atlanta last year. And still, there were pleanty of cubs fans tomahawk chopping their hats tonight just like I was last playoff season.

Go cubs! Gotta loooove good baseball :okthumb:

Ahh...I knew I liked one thing about Grogan..
He's a Cubs fan.

I fell asleep after the top of the ninth, only to wake up in the 14th with a 1-1 score.
I figured no one wanted to win...so I went to bed.
Who woulda known they score after that..lol

As a Braves fan, I gotta hand it to the Cubbies, this was a great series.

I don't like the Braves chances this year, but they have the makings of a foundation of another good young team (like when they were bringing up Chipper Jones, Ryan Klesko, Ron Gant, Javy Lopez, etc. in the early 90's). I look for a couple down years as the new guys learn the game from one of the best coaches in baseball in Bobby Cox, but then look forward to more years of dominance (hopefully without the post-season collapses of old).

But, I'll take those post season collapses over the attrocious play the Braves exhibited in the mid to late 80's...those were some VERY dark times indeed

Did they destroy that baseball from the playoffs last year. That is the real reason why cubs didn't make it to the final dance.....again...........lol

it was a good series, the cubs have a great team and I expect them to do well this year, thier my 2nd fav team after the braves. I feel this is going to be a interesting year for the braves, and I agree about the fans, they are used to them being in the playoffs every year. I still remember being at foulton(sp)county stadium and being one of the only 5k fans in the low times of the 70 and 80's. They have had a great run, and as long as the general manager and cox is in place they have a chance every year to make the playoffs.

Go Bravos :rokk:
