My Daughter is 3 and I couldn't imagine laying even one finger on her.
She's very well behaved, most of the time, and we have never spanked or hit her. There are other ways to discipline.

Hitting a child is the ignorant mans way of handling things.

This poor girl has to be in agony right now telling herself she should have done more:
