View Full Version : Stern Fined
The FCC investigation was prompted by a listener in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., who complained about a Stern program that included discussion of sex accompanied by flatulence sounds.

boy didn't like the fart sounds included in a talk about sex
boy this sex is gonna ruin America
farting too
Meni - Think about it
If you're talking about farting while fucking, you deserve to be fined!
Farting while fucking is obscene, discussing it on a radio show is something beyond obscene
I don't even want to know about women farting, as far as I'm concerned women don't fart and definitely don't defecate

Meni,
Despite my gut reaction to disagree with everything you say, I agree with you that I don't like these FCC fines being handed out and that such standards can't be fairly put into a system of law. It's too difficult to know what the standards even are.
That's the problem with obscenity issues in this country, the Miller test is simply not applicable to the country as a whole. Hell, in my neighborhood I dont know that you could get 12 people to agree.
But then again do we really want well defined rulings on what is and is not obscene...
catch 22.

You haven't been paying attention, Colin. Stern is under fire because he doesn't support Bush. It has nothing to do with what he says on the air.
In other words :
Bush, man
Think about it

He is the walrus
