I have a friend that works for Martin Lawrence Galleries (http://www.martinlawrence.com) - and they are getting ready to have an auction, so great deals are to be had.
You can get Warhol starting at $6,000, Chagall starting at $1,000, Picasso starting at $1,000, and many, many more for as low as $300.
This includes museum style framing.
If you go to the website, click on the art auctions (http://martinlawrence.com/auction_frameset.html) and if you see something you like, contact me and I will put you in touch with my friend that will let you know exactly how low you can bid, and probably win. The website prices are the retail prices, you can get them for anywhere from 40-75% less.
Helluva deal.
You can contact me at art@pimpspromo.com or ICQ 16075497

then you are not my target audience, and I guess Warhol would disagree with you, since he called his studio his "factory."

I think any Walter Sickert would be a good investment. Probably a better investment a few years ago, before the whole jack the ripper issue comes up. But if they find any more evidence, the value of his works will go up big time. If they prove it.. well.. ching ching.
I'm not convinced, but it can't hurt the value.
Honestly though, i like to look at art. That's about it.
