I'm watching CNN this morning and one of the breaking stories is about a truck wreck on I95 in Connecticut (sp?). Apparently, a tanker carrying about 12,000 gallons of fuel oil had a collision with a car and then there was a resulting fire. News played it up as a major inconvenience because right after that, a truck jackknifed on the alternate route, so both ways through the area were pretty much at a standstill. Nobody was hurt in either of the accidents.

They showed some shots of the fire scene. Fire burned hot enough to partially melt the overpass supports next to the fire area.

So, it got me thinking. Since 9/11, we have been being warned to watch out for "suspicious" activity. There have been warnings to watch out for tanker truck thefts, etc. So, was this an "accident" or was someone "testing" the situation, seeing how much damage such a fire would cause, etc. ?

Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmmm..................

edited to fix a typo..............

Yeah, it was on purpose.. Gov. Rowland was driving the truck - he did it to take the heat off himself.
