Republicans pushed a $2.36 trillion budget through the Senate early Friday, a package allowing lower spending and smaller tax cuts than President Bush wants and trimming record deficits faster than he proposed.

... The measure was approved 51-45 ...

The only senators crossing party lines on passage were Trent Lott, R-Mississippi, and Zell Miller, D-Georgia. Sens. John Edwards, D-North Carolina; John Kerry, D-Massachusetts; Harry Reid, D-Nevada, and Tim Johnson, D-South Dakota, did not vote.

How do you get that Kerry agrees with Bush when Kerry didn't cast a vote either way?

Nope. Two lists there. Edwards and Lott. And the second of Senators who didn't vote of which Kerry is one.

Actually, I missed the semi-colon. Do you think this thread will make it to 10 posts after that gaff?
