Remember xpics and brian shuster - Well here is his first shot across the bow. Trying to enforce patents on sub-domains. The US Patent office is out of control. It must be run by a bunch of monkeys.

I saw a post on a non-adult message board about someone who couldn't get any sub domains to work and I wonder if this is related.

Aren't subdomains done at the server?

i think that if someone is going to contact me wanting money, i would need better language than "appears to be closely related to..."

in fact, that letter looks like something from Mattels "Little Johnny's Patent Enforcement Playkit"

The US Patent system is a joke. I think we need to start over from scratch.

Sorry KK, I wanted to keep it big for all the old folks on Oprano!

:yowsa:

Shuster is a twit....

I think you will see a lot of people who were big in adult come back to try and haunt the industry. Shuster is just one.

Probably true, didn't notice the date was just a week old on that document, but they had said they had done it before and had asked their host to do it and they had said they can't for some reason. Just an odd coincidence but I assume no different than the Acaia situation in terms of how it could effect things. Subdomains aren't that big of a deal with most people so hosts would probably just say fuck it rather than allowing them to be used.
