Meni, I have to say I have enjoyed you posting on Oprano. We may not see eye to eye on politics, but at least you have an opinion - and that I respect. ( even if you are wrong! :P )

Now that last one is cute.
I raised a fox once. :(

Teach a man to make fire, and he'll be warm for a day.
Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

We have a family of red foxs that live on the property in NO. I know they can be nusences to farmers and such, but these were adorable. They would come back and have their babys in the same place every year. There is not much cuter then a baby fox, they are all ears....

One thing I will miss about NO property.... "our" foxs.... and other wildlife.

At my last house I had a very small yard but it was well treed and there were 3 squirrels that were absolutely fearless... if I didn't set their food out in the morning they'd hang off the screen patio door and bitch at me ;)
They'd take nuts from our hands and eat them there inches from our faces...(we'd lay down on the floor inside the house and they'd sit just outside the door).
I miss them and all of the birds dearly.

Mike do they have geckos in Tampa? I'd have dozens on my patios every morning at my condos down in Lauderdale. Not as entertaining as wooded wildlife but at least it's something. :)

Couple of years ago a bunch of us were up here golfing. It was a prelude to JMan's wedding, actually.

Anyway, the course we were on is the one behind my house. I was teeing off with VirtuMike and mentioned that there were some foxes hanging around the course. No sooner had we tee'd off and started walking down the fairway, a baby red fox goes running across the fairway.

It was strange because I rarely see them, and then one showed up at that particular moment.
