I'd like to start learning more about making money in mainstream (non-porn) sites, but I'm completely clueless on how to go about it.

Can anyone recommend a person to go to for learning more about it, or is there anyone here who does and wouldn't mind working with me a bit?
I'd happy to pay for your help and your time.

thanks : )

What I would do is to find a mainstream product that would sell well on porn sites. Then you can merge your existing knowledge and connections.

I would bet there are some large untapped markets for products that would sell on porn sites with mainstream cross-over potential. I don't know what they are though and if I did I wouldn't be posting it.

funny you mention that. I thought of a product today that has porn yet mainstream adult appeal, but it would involve actually manufacturing a product, similar to fleshlights but not nearly as graphic. You could show ads for it in people magazine or hustler and it would work.

I have a friend who has been running mainstream after adult for several years now. Email me at webmaster at onlinebeach dot com and I'll give you his contact info. He might have something you could sell on your sites :)

Currently he has a small loan program (small as in the loan being small $$$wise) which is converting like crazy!!

I used to ran some gambling and software review sites. With no doubt many mainstream fields have low competition, large market and lot of potentials. (no hints here heh) Others like gambling, dating and pharmacies have extremely high competition. Just try to buy SE traffic for a dating site and you'll see what I mean.

Currently I'm working on a new affiliate program for digital products, something I had postponed. Non adult market is expanding every day. The pie is huge and my personal belief is that if someone puts the experience from the adult industry to work he/she can achive significant things.

Lesson #1

Never underestimate the value of non-adult surfers

I came from mainstream and it's as different as night and day as far as affiliates are concerned.
Over here, everyone and their brother breaks their necks to teach the affiliates how to promote the product, how to build sites, *what* sites to build, explicit directions on absolutely everything you need...

Over there you get bumkus. Zip zero nada.

If you take what you've learned from adult over to the mainstream side, you'll already be lightyears ahead of the competition.
