I will second that ;-))) A VERY nice merlot and one of the better Calif. 2001's I've tasted.

you are right,
blonds, vintage 2000, are the best, except on the days of the month they produce red.

It IS an awesome wine thats for sure

the grapes come from vines that are over 80 years old!!!!

Its called Emmett Vineyard made by a guy name Jim Olsen who is a Legend in N. Cal for his hand crafted wines. they made less then 700 cases.

Its a Mendocino Merlot!!!!

I LOVE mendocino's wine because they get more am fog on avg than Napa and sonoma and the soil has much more gravel so it stresses the grapes more.

One of my new favorites in the merlot catagory and its priced right. :agrin:
