Nick, are you SURE you weren't in VA sometime in October?
I'm due one day after your wife and today we found out... yep, it's another boy.

Kelsey (6yr old son) sighs really heavy and says "Can we pretend it's a girl???"
Poor little guy wanted a sister soooooo bad.

My Dad has already started an endless array of "3 sons" and "football team" jokes... sheesh. :)

Congrats Carrie and Hubby! :) To be honest, I would MUCH rather raise boys than girls, lol! Ask Gigi - she'll tell you the FOURTH one will be a girl. :awinky:

Tell him it might be gay....maybe that'll cheer him up....

My mother already breeched this subject with us (yes, our family is warped) - intro the next few minutes of all of us picking which of the Queer Eye guys we'd want him to be like if he were gay.
Mom went with Jai, because he's so cute and friendly and knows how to dance.
I picked Tom, because you just give the man a can of paint and a brush and he can turn your house into a work of art.
I think Hubby picked Carson - not sure why really, probably just because Carson is so damn funny and sharp-tongued.
Dad just shook his head at us and tried to keep from laughing (he is a homophobe but he LOVES the show for some strange reason).

We had the hardest time getting the little guy to show us the goods, and I'm still not 100% convinced that it wasn't the cord we were looking at. The tech seemed positive though and even pointed out the head of a penis and a scrotum sac out of what looked like a Rorsach ink blot to me. It certainly looked *very* different from when we saw Kelsey's ultrasound... that little guy was proudly spreading his legs like "heyyyy babyyyy" and you could CLEARLY see the goods, no guessing needed!
(We didn't get an ultrasound with Brendon, the second.)

That's what I was thinking too, Peaches. It's familiar territory by now. The boys basically have a small array of "states" that they'll be in... happy, pissed off, tired, or hungry. It doesn't often get too much more complex than that. No dealing with the bi-polar tendencies of a female on mood swings.

Plus no periods, no budding breasts, no loser boyfriends, no marriage to pay for, no having to convince my mother that although "frilly" might look cute it really is itchy and annoying to wear...

And the toys we already have will work! Too bad we got rid of all the clothes thinking we wouldn't have another one.

I had three girls ... my youngest daughter periodically threatens to sue her sisters because she was tramatized by the childhood experience of always having to be the boy in any games they played.

By the time they hit their teens it got ... interesting. :)

As far as the different "states" that boys have....there is one that they will pick up later that I dread..........horney :zoinks:

While this state is not a problem for me :D , I do NOT want them reaching this state until they have been out of the house and married for several years.

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but girls get horny too. :awinky: And as the saying goes, with a boy you have to worry about 1 weenie. With a girl you have to worry about ALL the weenies. :okthumb:
