Hilarious you would say that, after sitting here and watching what the repubs did to Clinton, ESPECIALLY after it was shown that the people persecuting him the hardest were guilty of far worse moral crimes. Hypocrisy is the province of the repubs, not the dems. We're not perfect but we're not fucking moralizers either, and like it or not it's the repubs who consistently get caught cheating the political process.

Political orientation is like a circle. Facism and Communism meet at the top and for anyone living under such a system, there is so little difference between them that it doesn't matter which one you're subjected to. Serge, you have an excuse as you're the only conservative here who's actually lived under a far left regime. I can understand your tilt towards facism. I don't agree with it, but I can understand it.

Democracy is on the other side of the circle from facism and communism, and it's what the USA is supposed to strive for. I have no sympathy or understanding for all the wanna-be facists on this board and in this country who are the way they are due to a marlboro man conservative image fed to them by a corrupt political party whose only interest is to keep them compliant while they rob the populace.

Facism is the union of govt. and industrial interests. We're moving in that direction under Bush Inc.

Close to home? No - it didn't annoy me any more than any other uninformed, emotional and not very educated stupid post does.

Both sides play dirty tricks - but claiming that the Democrats "do it more" is a personal opinion that not only can't be substantiated, but IMHO flies in the face of the facts.

There is credible evidence to suggest that at least two Republican campaign staffs within my lifetime - Nixon (Vietnam) and Reagan (Iran) interfered in grave foreign policy matters for political gain. Moreover, I'd be very suprised that the so-called ChiCom money that the Democrats have received amounts to a dime to the dollar of the Tiawanese money the Republicans have received.

So spare me the "close to home" happy-crappy.

The United States is a republic

and the rest of the world is simply jealous (for the most part)

While the rest of the world should try to emulate (at least to some degree while maintaining their individuality) the success of the United States (while the US has it's problems we are still the best thing going and in the history of known civilization the strongest country ever) many in the world chose to point fingers and try to tear at what they can not do

Opinions and differences are one of the wonders of our country here in the USA.. One of the most important things to me is knowledge and understanding. The fact that there is so much diversity, rich, poor, black, white and everything in between adds to the richness of our heritage. Sadly sometimes those same things separate us greatly. Many wrongs over many centuries have been committed, knowing one's history is a very good thing.

I won't express my opinion but would like to offer some diverse reading that perhaps will open little corners of very closed minds. Walking in someone else's shoes is not usually a comfortable experience.

and the rest of the world is simply jealous (for the most part)

While the rest of the world should try to emulate (at least to some degree while maintaining their individuality) the success of the United States (while the US has it's problems we are still the best thing going and in the history of known civilization the strongest country ever) many in the world chose to point fingers and try to tear at what they can not do
Yes the world is jealous of our
11,000 deaths a year by guns
our VP playing golf with the judge ruling on his case
our Florida Election
our FAT society
our segregatoin
our FEAR pumped into us everyday via the news
What a country
slaves
kkk
evangelical christians

hey Serge when the rapture happens, are me and you going to the same hell?
Can I have GW's clothes when he is called up to Heaven[/b][/quote]
I said we, the US have problems - and while I don't agree with some of the thing you see as problems (I'm for more gun deaths) and a lot of the world lives with worse fears than the US faces (or has pumped into them)

We're still the best thing going

that's not to put any one or anything down, there are many fine countries and place to live outside the US (UK, Canada, Australia as well as many other countries have fine places to live - I really don't care for their taxations systems)

and yes most of the world is jealous of our standing in the world (as the only superpower) and our $$$$ wise better standard of living

fire away with all your stats but before you do please know

there are lies, damnable lies and then there are statistics

nope it's bad for your searching skills Serge, Australia is generally only referred to as "Australia" in a non colloquial sense. whilst America is referred to as "America", "united states" "US", "USA", so searching for only one term out of four is totally skewing your numbers and then comparing it to a country that doesn't have english as the main language LOL heheh good one. almost got it past the idiots, maybe next time :)

oh really??????

so you know,
non Australians who visited Australia and saw their problems reffer to them as..
"THEIR problems"

add those searches to the total count....
and see for yourself:
Australia has more per capita problems
