right behind the Cathedral in Cuszco, 17th Century Monastery turned into hotel with...
all original frescoes and paintings on the walls IN TACT!

it's like living in the Museum!!!!

The Chappel is the size of my house, with more silver and gold than I've seen in some churches in Rome!

cj,
at 10,000 ft above sea level, Oxygen comes handy...especially during one's achieving "3 miles high club" membership
;-)))

but..it's 2000 feet BELOW LaPaz, Bolivia
;-)))

I hold memberships in BOTH countries
;-))))

Damn, that is really great. I actually just got back from Cusco. Man, I did the 4 day hike. What an experience. Man, I drank a lot of that tea :) That Hotel is amazing. I stayed about a block off the cathedral.

Unfortunately, the political climate at the time was much too turbulent to get a flight into La Paz, or I would have done that for sure.

I got some amazing pictures and video while there.
