Just started mine: http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index....tion=dark_logic (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/target=display_nation/nation=dark_logic)

The Democratic Republic of Dark Logic is a tiny, economically powerful nation, notable for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 6 million are known throughout the region for their efficiency and work ethic, as well as their general suspicion of leisure.

There is no government in the normal sense the word; however, a small group of community-minded individuals juggles the competing demands of Commerce, Law & Order, and Defence. Income tax is unheard of. A healthy private sector is led by the Book Publishing industry, followed by Arms Manufacturing and Woodchip Exports.

Voting is voluntary. Crime is a serious problem. Dark Logic's national animal is the cobra, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the powerand.

Civil Rights: Some
Economy: Very Strong
Political Freedoms: Superb

I tired to this but found it too limiting for my taste. I want a matriarchy, of course and the countries animal is male. Lol

This is a great concept and idea for marketing if it was enhanced better. A great concept for a site actually.

Thanks for sharing.

Ok I'm in

The Rogue Nation of Ignis Fatuus Now

Civil Rights: Very Good
Economy: Good
Political Freedoms: Some

Location: The North Pacific
The Rogue Nation of Ignis Fatuus Now is a tiny, environmentally stunning nation, remarkable for its complete lack of prisons. Its hard-working population of 5 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The large government juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Defence, and Religion & Spirituality. The average income tax rate is 22%. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Automobile Manufacturing.

Crime is a problem, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Ignis Fatuus Now's national animal is the parrot, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the sponge ball.

I'd make a country that's someplace warm, possibly a small island. Has 0% taxes, steals electricity (and cable) from neighboring countries, has a total population of 3. Me, my girl and a servant that's just happy to live there for free.

I'd fish all day long, and work all night long. Damn I'd be happy. The servant also would have a powerboat so he could go buy tax-free alcohol from other countries, and naturally food and stuff. :rokk:

The Republic of Mythos Arcadia is a tiny, economically powerful nation, remarkable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 5 million are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

The small, corrupt, pro-business government devotes most of its attentions to Law & Order, with areas such as Social Welfare and Commerce receiving almost no funds by comparison. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 2%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Soda Sales, Cheese Exports, and Beef-Based Agriculture industries.

I think I've confused my populace -
We have strong anti-business politics but a pro-business government

The Rogue Nation of Ignis Fatuus Now is a large, socially progressive nation, notable for its strong anti-business politics. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 29 million are either ruled by a small, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

The medium-sized, pro-business government devotes most of its attentions to Defense, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Healthcare receiving almost no funds by comparison. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 5%. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Automobile Manufacturing.

Strict term limits have been applied to all elected offices, a niche industry catering to S&M enthusiasts has sprung up, the nation is experiencing a severe shortage of sporting events, and soylent products are an expensive commodity due to a lack of volunteers. Crime is pervasive, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Ignis Fatuus Now's national animal is the parrot, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the sponge ball.

Vick,

No such confusion here.

The Democratic Republic of Dark Logic is a large, socially progressive nation, renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 32 million are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

There is no government in the normal sense the word; however, a small group of community-minded, pro-business individuals juggles the competing demands of Education, Commerce, and Law & Order. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Book Publishing, Automobile Manufacturing, and Arms Manufacturing industries.

Scientists recently cloned the long-extinct feather-bellied serpent, scenic mountain valleys are flooded with water as damming projects get underway, children are raised bilingual from an early age, and homeless people are periodically found dead upon altars to assorted deities Crime is a serious problem. Dark Logic's national animal is the serpent, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Rand.

Ignis Fatuus Now is developing nicely

The Rogue Nation of Ignis Fatuus Now is a very large, socially progressive nation, renowned for its complete lack of prisons. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 50 million are either ruled by a small, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

The medium-sized, pro-business government devotes most of its attentions to Defense, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Social Equality receiving almost no funds by comparison. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 13%. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Automobile Manufacturing.

Citizens are allowed to rise or fall based on their own merits, streakers swamp all public events in order to bare it all, government police forces protect public schools from the threat of protest, and crooks and people with too many kids are being kicked out of the country.
