While you have out the crystal ball, where do you see the market this year?

Brad, I don't care much about market....it's NOT my money, it's my benefeciaries money,
I let THEM worry about markets
;-)))

My MAIN source of income is...lending money,
therefore, I am much more interested in where the rates go than the markets...

...but if I cared,
I'd say close to unchanged for a year,
with some fireworks inbetween
;-))))

Ani, when the fed prints money like there is no tomorrow,
inflation is only logical follow up and inflation = higher interest rates...remember Carter's last months?

You into futures at all Serge? I have been studing it for years off and on and I'm always drawn to it even though you can have your ass handed to you on a platter in one day if you don't know what the fuck you're doing.

just your thoughts

My husband's grandfather got rich during the Carter years with cd's. I would LOVE to see another run on interest like that. I might get rich too.

On a side note, I think banks should be forced by law to keep up with inflation on savings accounts. What a rip, you give your bank your money for them to make more money with and you lose 2.5% a year on it. That really pisses me off because it mainly affects the middle class.

I need a broker to get access though. I am having a tough time getting a broker in Canada that lets individuals trade currency options (only big institutions are allowed to trade it seems)..... do all of the brokers in the US allow this kind of thing?

Yeah, I think rates will go up this year also.... maybe even twice. The floodgates won't open until after the election though.
