Eating habits quiz.
Are you a culinaristic bastard like I am, or do you prefer to pick up a cheeseburger and fries? I don't mind either, seen my pics? :P
Anyways, I just thought I'd share. I ate a pheasant today. Small and chevy, tasted pretty good. Tomorrow I have 2 pounds of lamb tenderloin and I can't describe how good it will be! :)
My absolute favorite food ever is (honey)roasted duck breast. I could eat 20 pounds of that stuff.
Close behind are good goose liver (on toast, shame on me).
..and vendace roe mixed with onions and sour cream with baked potatoes. A lot better than beluga in my humble opinion.
Although I have nothing against stuffing my face with fatty burgers, I'd choose 'real' food any day over fast-food.. even if it takes a little effort to make. How about you? :)
I'm hungry btw.
All my favourite foods start with 'ch'
Chips
Cheese
Chicken
Chocolate
Chinese
Chicos (chocolate jelly babies...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm)

One look at my butt will tell you that I LOVE food. :inlove: I'll try anything once and most things a lot more than that. :) Oddly, I hate to cook but I love reading recipe books and watching cooking shows. I'd rather eat an average meal out than cook a good meal at home (unless it's steak and/or someone else is doing the cooking....).
I'm a great date - you can take me anywhere for food and I get tipsy after 2 drinks. :P
I'm not a fan of brussel sprouts and some Indian foods, though and red and green bell peppers and raw onions aren't my friends. :barfon:

I can't stand fussy people.
Every culture has tasty food to offer so why limit yourself?
I love eating my way around the world.

I like to try everything, but steak and lobster remains on top of the list.
A homecooked meal is always best...when a girl makes me a gourmet dinner I get all oooey gooey inside :inlove:

Here in Quebec our national meal is a Poutine. It's french fries with gravy and cheese all mixed together and it's so goooood.... but it's as fat as eating a whole pound of butter. That's why I have problem keeping my weight always the same...
Besides that I love all food, as long as there is food I eat. Lebanese, Thai, Italian, Japanese, Greek are my favorite flavor. I also know how to cook it well so I don't have to buy it at the restaurant.

Julie no one could ever look at you and imagine you had a problem with your weight, hehe *wolf whistle*
I LOVE food. I like smelling it, I like picking it out at the store, I like cooking it, I like looking at it, I like everything about it. I just don't overdo it... hell a lot of the time I forget to eat and then wonder later why I'm so tired and my head is splitting in two.
Bring me my steak bloody, my baked potato swimming in sour cream, my lobster drowning in butter, my chesapeake bay crabs fresh from the steamer and my fettucine alfredo so rich I'll have a heart attack right there on the table...
I just hate doing the dishes afterwards.

cascade complete, for the lazy sob in all of us.
after you chow down, just toss it in the dishwasher as it is (or the next day, as longs as you dont leave the messy dishes in the family room)
Mmmmmm food
I'm a skinny little fucker that loves to eat (and sometimes cook)
All about having foodgasms!!
If I had to pick one favorite
Fillet Mignon
cooked in butter with the right seasonings (so as to make almost a sort of sauce)
Like most vegetables raw
Really believe preparing great food is an expression of emotion,
you can't cook great food unless you love the people you're cooking for or you love to prepare food
Ever tried to stay angry with someone who just prepared you an incredible meal?

We should never go out to dinner together because I'd drive you up the wall :P
I hate most food except for Madras, Vindaloo, fish and chips, steak and chips and roast beef with yorkshire pudding.
Chinese :barfon:
Italian :barfon:
French :barfon:
Japanese :barfon:

What I like:
USDA Prime tenderloin, medium rare, baked potato, salad.
What I get, usually: spaghetti, sausage & potatoes, or chicken.
:biglaugh:
I like almost all food but for me, nothing beats a great piece of beef.
Thai food is both my wife and my favorite food when we eat out.
Sushi is great because its fast and reasonably healthy.

served with sourcream with crushed garlic and ground black pepper.. ahh my god, I wish it was summer and I could go out to bbq. :)

Love to cook and love to eat. My favorite is Italian food. Last week made Spaghetti with Bolognese sauce and Veal Saltimboco. Yum.
If you want top quality meats try Lobels out of New York.

Unfortunately I'm relatively sure I can't have them deliver to Helsinki, and I'm not gonna take a trans-atlantic flight to get a steak. :)

Has anyone had alligator meat?
There was a discussion about it on GFY (someone rec'd a spam for it) and supposedly it kinda tastes like chicken with a sweeter flavor, and has the consistency of lobster. They sell it down in Florida(so we were told). Sounds interesting!

I've had it, and it tastes pretty good. :)
Sort of like chicken, but not quite. Very tender (atleast the one I had).
I also like frogs legs, those also taste a bit like chicken. :)

I cook most of the time and I enjoy doing it. I hate using anything out of a packet, I would much rather spend the time to chop the vegetables myself. I know that as soon as I go away from this my weight goes up but if I spend the time to cook it goes down. So, that is how it has to be.
I'll try most things and when I am travelling I make a point of trying new things. I have had alligator meat and I agree that it is a slightly sweeter chicken. Ostrich is good too..more beefy but with hardly any fat.

I had ostrich pizza. lol.. :)
Tastes like turkey, just stronger.
I disliked mantaray steaks, the texture was like eating fat. manta ray soup was good though. :)

I've had it several times - it is tender but doesn't have the consistency of lobster, IMHO.
In addition to gator, when you go to college in S. GA you also get to try the delicacies of BBQ'd goat and rattlesnake. :P

now here's an idea... the next Internext in Florida could involve some neat type of (catered) smorgasbord of all of these neat foods from different cultures!

Yeah I get told that all the time. What people don't know is if I wouldn't work out every morning on my empty stomach it would show! When I don't fit in my pants anymore I know something's wrong! :gbounce:

You just reminded me of a Mexican dish I'm fond of...Maria! j/k
Actually, I found out when I went to a Mexican wedding that I like cabrito. Barbecued, in salsa, or in sangre, it's delicious! You would never know you're eating goat.
As for rattlesnake, I ate some at a bar once...not bad!
Strangest: deep-fried grasshoppers.

See Poll Good Sex or Great Food (http://www.oprano.com/msgboard/index.php?act=ST&f=1&t=8937&s=6210d51dc540f80041439664f6952f73)
I'm a big fan preferably if someone else is cooking *wink*
otherwise I find it all a bit soul destroying - taking all the time & effort to produce something wonderfully mouth watering, for it to be defaced and devoured by tomato sauce swilling, salt & pepper addicts. ( ie the family )
