In all fairness, it mostly becomes an old man's car when you get an automatic. :awinky:

no need to be fair sweetie
......

the new vette is looking pretty good

In your defense, the most frequently bought car when a guy is suffering "mid-life crisis" in undoubtedly a vette.....
but, in my defense, i have had at least one since 1973
(bought the 67 in 97, and have my original 73 still)

Dad mentioned a few months ago he was going to sell it and get a Cherokee. I asked him the other day and he said he's keeping it since he only drives it once or twice a week. However, the REASON he only drives it once or twice a week is because it's so damned impractical and they have to take my Mom's car everywhere. She's none to pleased as the miles that are going on HER car. :P

My Dad did the opposite. He had a LeMans in 1966, then the Riviera in 1972 but when he hit middle age, he bought the Eldorado, then an Audi 4000 and then a 5000. Once he hit 55 or so was when he went back to the sports cars - 914, RX7, 300ZX and now the Vette. The last 3 have been convertibles and he swears he'll never NOT own another convertible. He drives down the roads in Marietta and Atlanta with his wiener dog up on the door with her ears flying.

At least I know where I get my love for driving from. :okthumb:

A Vette in Europe is not an old men's car.. the rich and famous have a Vette to show off. A few of my lady friends driving a Vette.

what is also becoming very popular here is flying a helicopter..am wondering if you can get speed tickets in a heli ?

I just bought a Porsche cayenne Turbo
http://www3.us.porsche.com/english/usa/cay...rbo/default.htm (http://www3.us.porsche.com/english/usa/cayenne/cayenneturbo/default.htm)

great car....black outside, camel colour inside. The damn car costs including tax 165 K in euro's. And I can NOT drive in it !!! By the time I have my license back the car is OLD !

I guess I can only blame it on myself.. grrrrr

think I need to fins a new hobby..

I had to have a Range Rovers 4X4 capability when I lived in London. It was needed to park round Harrods ;-))))

You can come to Vancouver and ride in my 911 (its "auto") but it means my hands are free :groucho:

I love the police!
I was driving a cab when I was 19 I think.. I speeded like a motherfucker, I think I drove 180 on 60 km/h zone. Cops pulled me over, took my license for 3 months. I was out of a job, so I started to do porn full time.

..and I will never ever drive a cab again, except on the back seat.

Be happy, something great could happen.. or then again, you might just be out of a card for a while without any benefits. :)

Wow LittleC I'd never have picked you for a Cayenne in a million years. Hell I don't think I'd ever imagine you in something with 4 doors that didn't look like it was going 150mph when it was sitting still :)

Yeppers Peaches over here in the States the Vettes have been so overworked by the "mid-life crisis freshly divorced" guys that they've lost their luster. I wouldn't own one unless it was made before 1970. :)
(No offense of course, Mike!)
