I promote a lot of affiliate traffic and most of them I know who they are, however in trying new programs I’ll often get checks from companies with not affiliate ID nor do I recognize the actual company name.

Can’t you guys put something in memo like “siccash ID#” ? Maybe even a little insert in webmasters payouts with a directory and additional information or help? I can’t believe you’re sending out mail that actual gets READ and not continuously marketing your venues.

I think some people are more comfortable with cashing checks that are from
"ABC productions" than "Fuckingcuntsluts.com"

Although I wonder why can't they put some info on the 'excess' area that is on the check. :)

That is a good point.

When mailing out checks for our Sponsors, we do utilize the memo line. In the interest, as TeenGodFather said, of comfort, we do abbreviate the program names as well as include our corporate name and logo on all checks.

I understand that, really I do. I live in a small town and although I could really give a fuck, I prefer people not know my business HOWEVER a small directory or contact info would be nice. How about just an 800 number so we can call and see which program it is? Once I know I can add it to Excel and it's all good.

I must get at least a few every few months I have no idea where they came from. lol- at least they are paying. If I knew who the fuck they were I might send them more traffic.

Why not ask on the boards? That's been happening for years and it usually takes less than an hour to find out who you're getting the checks from. :)

I still remember a few years ago when, for about a month, ARS checks were coming in with the names of the sites visible in the envelope window. Thankfully, my business mail gets delivered to Atlanta - explaining that in the hills would NOT have been fun. :P

Slav, according to Google, Viper Holdings does a lot with domain names. They were sued by Hustler for having hustlergirls.com and just bought pool.com recently.

All rumors - Viper Holdings is actually owned by a little old 82 year old grandmother in Idaho. :awinky:
