Can't say I have but even as a non-believer it sounds like an interesting book.

I liked it too.

You should also read the book he wrote before Da Vinci called "Angels and Demons", it features the same main character.

man, that felt good to hear it's been awaile. I got out of the market in early 2000. I can honestly say I got out right before that first bubble hit, and all shit went bye-bye. I missed the days of Yahoo going up 30 then down 40, up 20 ,down 35... you know what I mean.

I got out mid-month, december was a blood bath for the bears.

I am still optimistic about 2004 being a bad year for the stock market and Bush :D

Angels and Demons was excellent. I'm going to get Da Vinci soon too. Just need time to read it.

Isn't there a movie coming out based on the theories from Da Vinci code?

yeah, I'm glad but I lost a lot of that money anyway :(
the recent stock run-up is just setting the bulls up for more
pain in the coming year IMHO

I'm not sure if there is a Da Vinci code movie, but there was a one
hour TV show (on ABC I think) that discussed some of the ideas in the book a
couple months ago. They had a lot of interviews with people talking about
the last supper painting, etc.

Both the DaVinci Code and Angels and Demons were great reads. Hard to put down.

I have both DaVinci Code and Angels and Demons, but I've only read Angels and Demons. EXCELLENT! :okthumb:

I'm reading DaVinci Code after Bleachers (which should only take a day or so - very short book). :)

yes. If you are looking for a good read I'd recommend The DaVinci Code . . . if you are looking for intellectual masturbation go with Eco Umberto. Umberto is, if I recall correctly, a Linguistics Professor, and his works of fiction are also lessons in semiotics. Unfortunately, I think Umbertos works must lose something in translation and for most people will be a painful read . . . IMHO.

Da Vinci Code is a good book, but "Angels & Demons" was much better. I would recommend reading A&D prior to DaVinci as it has the same protagonist (Robert Langdon) and A&D takes place a year before DaVinci.

I am finishing A&D...so far they are BOTH on the level with one bullshit I found in A&D...
the Piazza Navonna part..
drowing or struggle at the fountain there is a mission impossible-
people are there 7x24!
;_))

therefore....no fucking way!
;-))
and...
Castel D'Angelo has security at nite!
thus making final chapters of the book VERY improbable
;-)))

Read DaVinci Code last couple of weeks ago.

Met Dan Brown at the last Exeter reunion I went to, didn't think it was a bug deal until I saw him on Good morining America today .
