I had not seen this until I saw where someone from ARS had posted about it on vnwr:

http://adult.adrevservice.com

http://www.thediscreetcard.com/?a=5550&adt...00%3A1116488805 (http://www.thediscreetcard.com/?a=5550&adtrax=1947%3A438%3A1072835827%3A15706100%3A111648 8805)

Prepaid mastercard, ok to use on adult....

Wonder if it will work or will fizzle...

If they don't get a better designer for the website, it's gonna fizzle rather quickly.
But *anything* can become big with the right marketing. Think of pet rocks! Anything is possible.

There are many pre-paid cards out there, none with the functionality of ePassporte or Paypal...

both of which are significantly more than just a pre-paid card.

I think alot of people are going to like some of the new features we've got coming out very shortly :)

I think *I* missed something.

Is Discreet Card, VisaBuxx, Epassporte or any "pre-paid" card required to adhere to the same chargeback rules as a regular MC or Visa card? Are you protected against fraud the same way?

IOW, if I have one of these cards, can I still do a charge back against an adult site and if so, do Visa and MC still count that against a sites ratios? What about check cards which carry the Visa/MC logos?

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but it's the first time I've thought of the question. We hicks with third grade edumacations and one tooth are a little slow.

Yahoo paydirect is accepting adult transactions, although they do not have many features yet.

And yes I emailed them and asked.

Prepaid cards are ok, but nothing new at all.

you can buy them anywhere online, retail, etc.

some you can load again when your maxed out, others you throw away and get another.

While I cant speak for other companies, since I have no clue what their relationship is with banks or card companies, ePassporte is a true Visa card issuer, just like Bank of America or anyone else. It's not a co-branded card product that simply has our logo on it.

The product itself is structured in a manner that makes it very different than just a surfer using a card to buy porn. We are a non-high risk transaction, and by our agreement with Visa, we don't accept high risk transactions unless a prior contract is in place with the merchant, not the consumer. The risk management levels are drastically different by managing the system this way. The chargebacks are not counted in the same way either, though no system is chargeback proof and at some point merchants with excessive chargebacks do have issues, though at much different threshholds.

ePassporte also has the ability to manage peer to peer transactions, bypassing the Visa system entirely and once again changing the risk managment parameters. One of our new features is quite a frontrunner in the peer to peer market, unless I've missed something on Paypal and other sites lately as well.

Yeah, I know prepaid cards have been around for a while, but I haven't seen very many sponsors adding them to their portfolio....

"ARS would like to proudly announce the addition of another outstanding Transcom Media product....

The Discrete Prepaid Mastercard ...............

$50 Payout to Publishers for each signup!"

Like I say, unless I'm missing something (or have missed something)...which definitely could be the case.... :yowsa:

Hey KK :)

I should already know this, but, does epassporte have an affiliate program ?

I did a google on epassporte and went to reacquaint myself with the whole thing, but could not find a mention of any....

Thanx

Nopers, I don't have an account... I kind of thought that was what you meant when you said account admins.... To go to my account and then look there :)

Oh well... Maybe later today when I am awake I will finally go open an epassporte account.....

Anyone know the dealio with these guys? http://www.cnwb.com

Yeah, I know it's some kind of cobranded card, but specifically this part (taken from their site): "Merchants can now make money from their declined transactions." http://www.cnwb.com/site/merchant/idv.html

Am *I* missing something there or does that whole "loan" to surfers thing just sound screwy to you???
