I remember those days.. seems like there are fewer people getting that first computer now.

My traffic observations for the day.. Webmaster traffic is average today and should be stronger than it was yesterday.

Surfer traffic is down by about 20% today but its still early. Christmas day traffic normally drops by about 10%.

Sales on christmas day are so bad that it's laughable.. at least that has always been my experience.

All that Jesus junk messes with peoples buying mentality even for non porn (or it could be that they have been spending non stop for a week and are hesitant to pull out the credit card). Things pick up the day after though.

Thank God!

Thanks, Hooper, for my first post-Christmas laugh! :biglaugh:

The combination of "all that Jesus junk" followed by "Thank God!" plus a Lib worrying about business is (to me) very funny.

Having a bit of an identy problem? :biglaugh:

BTW, I DO remember those days...gave me a good reason to celebrate Christmas.

The last 2 days our stats have shown traffic is down with 25-30%, however new sales are not down. Traffic is also lower today, and conversions are still looking very good :)

Another interesting stats is my personal antispam software - it has received 30% more spam in December.. looking thru the spam, then it looks like alot of new spammers are comming online... If this growth in the spam sector continues - how long before people will pay $$ for antispam software? The real money is in the medicine - not in the disease

Wrong - my email box is the best laboratory for studying spam - because I've always used the same email address - have signed up for a paysite with every processor, post on Usenet with the same address, test out most of the 4Free style programs, used it on tons of mainstream optin sites - 99% of spammers have my address.

And what I saw is that lots of spammers took the holidays off - my spam was down 50% and still hasn't returned to normal levels.

Atherton's crowd tho is hard at work hitting the send button, no rest for the wicked.
