Interesting, I have seen the people checking the bags - they do not seem to competent especially in New Orleans.

hahaha, when I was in NO for the Steeler game last year there was a screwup with my tickets for the flight home but they let me through to the gate even though I didn't have a plane ticket. Made me feel really safe.

I guess my airlines are about as effective as yours....50% here. If I were looking for high performance car parts I would have scored better.

What I find scary is that they have you boot up your laptop to make sure it is a working laptop and not a bomb. If I knew how to build a bomb with C4, then I am sure i could build it into a laptop that worked just like any other until it was armed. So what good does booting up your laptop do?!?! :headwall:

Some of you might remember me telling this story a while back:

Coming home from the first Jan. Vegas show after 9/11, the line looped for quite a bit waiting for the metal detectors/X-rays.

There was a commotion about 5 people in front of me with a girl saying "No, you're NOT with me. Stop telling people that. I don't know who you are, you're not with me, stop it!" or words to that effect (it's been 2 years :awinky: ). She called for security, nothing. He was a dark skinned, not black guy and he finally walked away and had no ticket, no luggage, no boarding pass etc. Apparently he was telling people as he tried to cut in line that he was with this girl and she wasn't letting him get away with it. We all told the security people and they just shushed us and told us to keep moving through the line.

Yeah, it could have been a set up but the fact remains that for those of us in that line who saw the apathy exhibited, it was a VERY long flight home.

Most people checking bags aren't competent enough to check my drive through order at McDonalds.
