View Full Version : Christmas is a scam!

Now that I have married a gentile, I get to see the dark side of Christmas. Seems that all the gentiles are out at the malls, shopping, and boosting the economy. Why cant holidays be about watching football, eating pizza, and spending time with family?

Also, I wish the jews would have waited longer to kill jesus. The timing was poor, since my wedding was just dec. 7. I would have appreciated some time to relax!

I have kidnapped her, and we are spending weekend at the lake. Only thing around there is a super wal-mart. Unfortunatly, she lose her LV wallet at the mall yesterday, and new credit card will not be here until 24th;-(

Psssss Xmas really is a scam
Jesus was 33.5 when he was crucified in April which would have made the birthdate ..... October

Yes Xmas was done close to the Winter Solstice to appease and blend with the Pagan Holidays and other older religions

Plus ALL religion is superstition, just the same as Mythology
A means to explain what can't be explained

does it really matter? it gives the economy a boost, so why complain?

for most of it's a matter of tradition, not religion.

Exactly.... we used to do the Christmas Eve services at church when I was a kid, and that was a nice "tradition" too... we never decided on a church when we got married but the more I see of "organized religion" the more I doubt I'll ever go back unless it's for a funeral or a wedding. <_<

The holidays really are more about traditions for most people - something that I personally think is more important than anything from any church.

A prophet in the Jewish tradition, Jesus had little truck with Gentiles ("I was sent to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." Matthew 15:24) On at least one occasion he referred to gentiles as dogs. He saw his mission as helping to bring about the fulfillment of Jewish aspirations-and that mission ended in a grotesque fiasco. He differed from the mainstream of Jewish thinking only in that he believed in loving one's enemies. A radical difference, to be sure, but he would have been appalled by the suggestion of a Gentile religion being founded in his name. He never intended to sponsor a church, let alone an inquisition.

What is a "good jew" compared to a "bad jew" ?

Is a "Good Jew" one who keeps the law completely and utterly while a "bad jew" is one who doesn't ?

Just wondering.....

I tell myself that I´m an atheist, however when my favorit team has a chance to score the winning goal in the last seconds of a match, then I do pray to God, also when something bad happens, then I do blame the devil.

Maybe I should join a religion, so I have someone or something, which will listen to my prayers and curses

I might be interested, if it does not involve any body modifications, and that I can cancel at any time...

Will there be a trial, so I can test this religion, and see if it works for my prayers?

My family always used to attend midnight church when we were growing up for the 1 hour of carols ... it was fun ... and a tradition every year with my grandparents ...

we hadn't done it for a few years since my sister and i moved out of home & grandparents passed away so we decided to do it the year before last ...

my parents forgot that when we were kids they could smack us when we misbehaved ... my sister and I sang every carol like opera singers & giggled everytime the priest said the world virgin ... my parents left in embarassment laughing so hard they couldn't sing any more carols.

needless to say we killed that tradition

Who gets married on Peal Harbor day??

Welcome to married life!!
A couple I met on the first cruise I went on with Aly. (Actually it was the day after, the real one in 1941)

I remember the big sighs we had getting seated with the "OLD Folks" turned out they were 2 of the greatest people to be around, we still keep in touch via email.

That week I learned a lot from those two, they were LIVING life to the fullest, even after 60 years of marrige, it was a great feeling to see them cruising the beach hand in hand
