Christmas Shopping is now in full swing.....

Finally got started....

Bah Humbug and humbug and bah.....

Went to Nebraska Furniture Mart yesterday evening to pick up a cheapie camcorder for my 12 going on 45 daughter. The place was fucking huge. Pulling into the parking lot was something like pulling up to one of the big vegas hotels... Brand new Cabelas across the road from it, fucking huge also....

These places are huge enough to actually be quite daunting.... Leave you with vertigo big time.

Anyway, went to Toys R Us today to get started on my daughter and the 2 kids we adopted for the holidays.... It was fun to shop for little kids again, been a while since I did that, reminded me of how cheap they are to shop for when the are still tiny (and cute).....

We're up to 12 in the family now, so for the last few years we've drawn names, everyone pitches in $X per person, you write a list and whomever picks your name buys off your list. :) For the second time in 3 years, I've drawn my Dad who only wants a Lands End gift certificate. :lol:

The lists are great because you can use them to buy birthday presents also. Plus I grab stuff throughout the year, toss everything in a big box and then go through it a couple of weeks before Christmas. I did it last night and I'm completely set for everyone. :)

And then like an idiot I make everyone a gift every year. I start at the beginning of January so I'm not in a rush. Stop around the middle of January and then start up again after Thanksgiving. I'm still working on 5 gifts. :unsure:

Someone would have to give me thousands of dollars to walk into a Toys R Us this time of year.

when you go shopping a week before the 25th, expect the heavy load of people in any shopping malls. :huh:
