How can you NOT mention the damned bow ties? :D

He had heart surgery on Monday, and apparently died of complications from it. Springfield, Illinois is only 80 miles from me, so it is all over what passes for local news.

Very, very smart man, with more class in one little finger than 80% of the current members of the Senate (yes, on either side of the isle).

PD, I think the persentage on that is higher than 80. That's including the Senate and the House of Rep. too.

I always liked Simon. Seemed very ohnest and cared about the basic man / women.
