If you're shopping for a new motherbord, this new one by Asus has all the latest bells and whistles and then some. Really, really nice and ultra fast. It's got nVidia's SoundStorm chip with a built in APU and Dolby 6 channel audio. The sound rocks as nice the Audigy 2.

Asus motherboards always kick ass. This one is no exception.

I'll have to admit though, when I saw the title of this thread my first thought was "Great motherboard, Batman!"
(Okay I'm a geek. Sue me.)

That board is completely useless. It doesn't support pentium CPU.

I don't know about always, but I've seen it lead to trouble many a time.......

Who needs a fricking Pentium when you can run an AMD ATHLON XP+ 2500 With a Barton Core overclocked at 3.2Ghz

i got during summer A7V8X-X and it's very good. This one seems even better. AMD all the way. Intel only in laptops anymore and of course stay away from celeron!

I personally stay away from motherboards that are all inclusive (vidia and sound etc built in)..... Hate to have to replace a mb because the video went out or the ide went out, whatever...

I prefer bare bones types..... Here motherboard, your job is to house the processor and orchestrate the whole thing....

Unfortunately, more and more, the all inclusive is becoming the norm.....

Built in sound is ok as you can always disable it if there's a problem. Built in video on the other hand sucks ass, and is usually only on crappy boards anyway.

Once again, someone is confusing AMD's stupid 'speed rating' with mhz.

I would be really surprised if you can bring ANY AMD cpus to 3.2ghz

you can bring it to the speed of a 3200+, maybe.
