Are there any truly good SE people out there for adult? I mean people who don't charge you money and do shit?

One thing I could never understand...

If they were so good at this why wouldn't they build portals or affiliate venues and make % from site sales? I mean wouldn't you make more?

If there are good SE people out there I'd hire them and I have clients who would as well.

There are good SE people that are worth the money, most of do have their own affiliate pages and etc.

That doesn't mean they wouldn't be interested in making money optimizing other peoples pages or accepting a fulltime position with a steady income....

Also being good at SEO doesn't mean you're automatically good at selling.
Someone who sucks at selling could get a million hits to their perfectly SEO'd page and not make a dime... so it's better for them to simply tweak other people's pages and make money for it.

Took the words right out of my mouth!!

Dianna, good se people don't need the once off piddly fee you would pay them for the service ... but they will sell you the traffic for a nice fee!

Carrie ... a million hits is a million hits ... affiliate programs provide materials to take care of the sell so if you have a million hits to a perfectly seo'd page and get no sales then i'd say give up and definately don't bother charging anyone for those services!

I can think of a few examples of people who can't sell but still made a killing with 'click here for xxx porn' ... webfather, serge etc

It has been said in this thread, the SEOs I know, might give up some money to get a more steady income.

Having to start over everytime google throws out its algorithm is a little hard on the nerve. and budget.

I agree in general with CJ

Plus SE hits are already targetted!! Errr...they are SE hits LOL

ie "Teen" ; "amateur" ; 'Wives".

Any of the REALLY good SE spammers , that I am aware of , make bank , and don't consult ,and don't hold seminars.

"BUDGET" is the thing, if you pay it could cost you a ton of money.
anyone know how much a ton of money is?

I think it's best just 2 go after the other ones 1st like. Any ways thats what I'm 2 do.

what if you charge someone money for the service and then google does its thing? you have charged someone who is not going to make any money and may get other sites penalized ...

most seo consultants would say bad luck - I would never hire someone in this capacity because if they couldn't make it work for themselves then what am I paying them for? a 'chance' of getting some traffic?

if its hard on your budget, then its not going to be any easier on a clients budget! probably worse because we spend other people's money faster & more carelessly than our own, whether we intend to or not.
