View Full Version : LSU and not USC

Wow, It will be LSU playing for the national championship instead of USC. I was kind of dissapointed because Florida is thier only loss, UGA's only loss last year was Florida which kept them out of the national championship race. I wanted Florida to keep another team out of the race this year. Oh well, I had a bet with a friend that USC would beat OU. Now I'm not sure if I should make a new bet about LSU beating them or not.

It's pretty amazing that I can spell better with my 3rd grade education than someone like you who went to a $20K a year college. B)

It SHOULD be LSU-USC. Oklahoma got their asses kicked and should be OUT of the title game.

I would have to agree. A team that is playing in the national championship should at least have won their division championship.

OK realize the big 12 is the best conf in the country
realize no pac 10 championship game
realize OU knew they were in
realize USC beat NO ONE this year
OU lost 1 game
and we didn't have to WIN IT
check the other threads for the valid points why ou and lsu should be in
If USC wanted a guarantee
win OUT
don't lose to sucky CAL

You're nuts.

The SEC is the best. the SEC kills the Big 12 head to head. Unranked Arkansas kicked the crap out of Texas. Oklahoma barely beat unranked Alabama 20-13. LSU is going to destroy Oklahoma, Tennessee, Florida, and Georgia could all beat any team in the Big 12.

Strength of Conference is

1. SEC
2. Big 10
3. PAC 10
4. Someone else
5. Someone else
6. ACC or Big East
7. The other one
8. Big 12.

Watch the bowl games and remember this thread.

ha ha

find the final polls
tell me how many sec teams top 40
then how many big 12

I think Arkansas beat Chance Mock's Longhorns
They couldn't touch Vince Young's Longhorns
and OU will beat LSU

It's tough for a SEC team to stay high in the polls because they inevitably take losses while playing half their games against other SEC teams.

Watch what happens when the SEC teams line up against supposedly evenly matched foes from other conferences in the bowls.

This can all be debated endlessly as long as there's no real head to head playoff system.

ACC will rise on that list with the acquisitions of Mami, Virginia Tech, and Boston College.

That says more than ANYTHING about why they have ZERO business to be in the national title game. If you can't take pride in being in a title game for your own conferance championship- stay the fuck out of the national title game because that is for teams with pride, guts, and a will to win.

hmm
the all had 1 lose
what if they all lose last week of the season
ou loses to k state
lsu to florida
usc to cal
think OU would be 3rd?
USC played no one this year
we'll make a note, next year
lose early in the year
so the polls love us at the end
keep whining
OU is in
number in the BCS
and they will take care of business in New Orleans

LSU has like 4 running backs who are better than anyone on Oklahoma.

In fact, Vincent ran for 200 yards and 2 TDs against the number 4 defense in the country (Georgia).

I am a MORON,, you're going down.

Absolutely true statement. The BCS ranking system is complete BS! What a joke :-( USC is the best team in the nation with LSU, Oklahoma & Michigan not far behind.
