What a bunch of bullshit to discipline a kid over this.

Boy's Talk of His Gay Mothers Sets Off Furor in Louisiana

A 7-year-old Louisiana boy was disciplined by his elementary school for telling a second-grade classmate that he had two mothers and explaining that gay meant "when a girl likes a girl," the American Civil Liberties Union says.

The incident occurred when the class was lined up for recess and a classmate asked Marcus about his mother and father. Marcus responded that he had two mothers, not a mother and father. When the other child asked why, Marcus told him that it was because his mother was gay. The other child then asked what that meant, and Marcus explained, "Gay is when a girl likes another girl."

According to the A.C.L.U. account, Marcus's teacher scolded him in front of his classmates, told him that "gay" is a bad word he should not say in school, and then sent him to the principal's office.

The boy, Marcus McLaurin, was referred to the school's behavior clinic, where he was ordered to write the sentence "I will never say the word `gay' in school again" over and over, the civil liberties group said.

The group has written to the Ernest Gallet Elementary School in Youngsville, La., demanding that it remove all mention of the incident from Marcus's record, refrain from restricting his speech in the future, and apologize to him and his mother.

"The school called me the day it happened and said Marcus was in trouble for using foul language, and behaving inappropriately," the boy's biological mother, Sharon Huff, said. "I didn't know what he'd said because the assistant principal said he didn't feel comfortable repeating it over the phone. He told me Marcus would bring home a note. I was imagining something horrible. But when Marcus came home with the note, all it said was that he'd told another child I was gay, and explained what gay meant."

Administrators at the school in Youngsville, 57 miles southwest of Baton Rouge, did not return calls. But Dr. H. James Easton, the superintendent of the Lafayette Parish School System, released a statement yesterday disputing the A.C.L.U. account and saying the school's actions had nothing to do with the issue of sexual orientation.

"I have concluded," he said, "that the discipline was related to ordinary student disturbances, which were hindering the classroom learning process and which were addressed in an appropriate fashion by the teacher and school administrator."

He added, "The student was not belittled or embarrassed and this entire matter was reported based on a lack of accurate information."

Ms. Huff, who moved to Louisiana six months ago to be with her partner, Heather Manley, said Marcus had not previously faced any problem about having two mothers and seemed withdrawn after the Nov. 11 incident at school.

"To tell a 7-year-old boy that he can't talk about his family not only makes that child feel confused and hurt, it violates his constitutional right to free speech and equal treatment," said Ken Choe, a lawyer for American Civil Liberties Lesbian and Gay Rights Project who is handling the matter.

ABsolutely pathetic....that poor boy. :cryin:

Added:
Ya know, notice how the super didn't say exactly what 'really' happened according to the school's account? If the ACLU's account was truly 'fictional' as he claims, you'd think he'd want to clear that up with specifics no? *shakes head*

Why the hell would any parents try and teach a 7 year old what the word "gay" means???

I have seen situations like this, and they tell their kids they are roomates until they are old enough to understand the reality of it.

Kids say stupid things, and do not realize it. Its a shame to see such a burden placed on such a young kid having to explain his mom's sex life to his friends at school when it is totally not necessary. Especially in the south!

Love the pic, wonder which one is "dad," its hard to tell.

And if the parents were cocksmokers, and not lesbians, you can be sure they would be trying to take the kid away from them.

Hey what the hell... someone should design a line of kids clothing, call it GAY brand for kids. Teach them about GAY as soon as possible.

Maybe even do BABY GAY, and dress them up like little gay boys and girls so they grasp it early on in life. Help them understand what gay means!

Button up style shirts for the girls, pleated slacks, maybe some butch boots, and pink overalls for the boys... it will be smashing!

I disagree. Mothers are the ones that instill the most in kids. My father was always away on business, never got to see him as much growing up.

My mother was a gem and gave us a great upbringing.

KRL: would you allow your child to live with two moms and be taught about being gay at age 7? HOw long have they been teaching this kid these things?

My point was simple, if dad was around maybe things could be different?

Despite not seeinjg him often, dad still laid the law down, did he not?

Sure moms instill the most in us, but there ARE certain things I feel women CANNOT teach their kids, and for one reason or the other, it involves the bonds between a father and son.

No desprespect to single moms, my mom was one. Somewhat still is and has 3 children.

When the revolution comes and the Worker's Paradise is established, the beloved and much revered credo "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need" will finally be put into place, and the need for a bull dyke to finally make it with a hot blonde babe with big tits will be realized.

The boy was ASKED about his mother and father. If he is living with two mom's, and he didn't know what gay was, how the HELL would he be able to understand it and express it to those who ask??

If the child didn't have gay parents, then he/she might not have questions....but the fact that the child LIVES with two gay people (who he LOVES btw), it would be logical for him to understand at least the basics.

From his answer to the other child's question, it seems he was given just that. A BASIC understanding of the meaning of being 'gay' in relation to HIS experience.....two women.

And BTW, this isn't about his mother's 'SEX LIFE', it's about her sexual orientation...hahaha.

Whats wrong with telling the kids they are roomies?

You can tell a 7 year old all you want about the meaning of GAY, he is STILL not going to understand and comprehend it. A kid that young does not need to explain or defend his parents living situation in the first place.

It IS about the mother's sex life, cause if she wasn't fucking the female she lived with there would not be any question of why they are living together.

I have known plenty of single moms who live together raising their kids and are NOT gay.

And again, if they were gay men some of you would be singing a whole different tune.

Its SO sad the burden some people place on their children in todays world.

Like I posted above Fletch, my son is 9 and learned about gays at the same age as this kid. Gay is everywhere. He asked me to expand on what it was beyond what his understanding of it was and I tried to explain as best I could.

I don't have a problem with someone being Gay. I've had a couple good friends over the years that happened to be gay and hey if that's your thing so be it.

I think they should have full legal rights like straight people do also.

On the father mother subject. Yeh, my dad laid down the law, but it was my mother that was the law. He was a softy compared to her. Couldn't get anything past her ever watchful doting eyes. She was a bit over protective I think to compensate for the fact my father was up in New York City so much or traveling all over. I really owe everything I am to her, much more so than my dad. He was a great father and I have no complaints other than I found out later in life he had a lot of girlfriends on the side and I resented the fact that he had free time to come home to the family and instead spent that extra time with his girlfriends up in NYC after work.

What about the kids with whore moms who dont raise their kid and cheat on their husbands?

Bad moms and cheating dads are more common than gay people.

I think its a hard situation. I can only imagine the ridicule that little kid will have to endure in his years ahead.

We live in a sexually upside down world now. Before things we're kept in the closet. Now there is no more closet.

There's always the debate about are you born gay or do you just become gay.

I think its in the genes and that's why people have a tendency to end up in that alternative lifestyle.

I always wondered if the really garish gay men talk that way just to differentiate themselves profoundly from straight men or if that's really how their vocals are.

Everyone's experience is different.

What about the kids with whore moms who dont raise their kid and cheat on their husbands?

Bad moms and cheating dads are more common than gay people.
Well, I know solidly, my mother never cheated on my father. In that era I think it was more the men. Today, yes, I think way more women cheat simply because way more women are now in the workforce and around men all day and that's were most cheating starts.

In the 50's and 60's moms stayed home, so the opportunity to cheat just wasn't there as much. Then when women's lib happened the whole thing changed and that's when women started cheating more and families started falling apart, because women stopped being moms and started being corpies.

I have known plenty of single moms who live together raising their kids and are NOT gay.
Based on the attitude against lesbian parents you've shown here, they very well may be gay but are worried about your reaction if they admit it to you. :(
Are you ever going to grow a brain?

A few posts and you've pinpointed my attitude towards lesbian parents?

I don't discrimitate against bad parents. They are all at fault regardless of gender, race, or sexual preference.

and fyi- When I was a teenager I worked for a woman who was a very masculine lesbian and lived with another female who you would think is a man. They were both raising two kids and guess what? They told the kids they were just roomies til they were old enough to get it.

Both were excellent parents but didn't try and teach the kids about gayness when they were little, so they could go to school and mouth off about it to their friends and be made fun of.

Kids in today's world don't need shit like that.

Hot women have always had the availability to cheat. The postman, milkman or vacuum cleaner salesman prolly got lucky quite often in the 50's and 60's.

But you're right....the advent of women in the workplace opened the doors for even ugly women to get laid!

LOL Well you know I'm full Italian but I got an Irish name Kevin for my first name, and our plumber that always seemed to be coming over to our house when my father was away in NYC was an Irishman named Pat.

I was just getting ready to ask that. And I wonder why the parents don't have the right to decide when their kids are old enough to "get it" as opposed to the school and Cherry deciding it for them. :(

Well, what age do they start teaching sex education in schools now days? Junior high?

I couldn't say exactly, but 7 years old is really young.

I have a brother who is 6 and I can't imagine him being aware of what gay means. He would be trying to kiss all the boys in his classroom if that was the case because he's just an innocent little kid.

And not that there is even anything wrong with little kids having affection towards each other, but do we really want them to start playing gay that young? He doesn't even know Santa Claus isn't real, let alone what being gay means!

With all the sexual predators out there (yes, even GAY ones....) the earlier you teach your kids about "good" and "bad" touching and sex between people who are adults and love each other, etc. the better.

Not having children doesn't preclude the ability to see good or bad.

Personally, I feel sorry for the two bull dykes, because they are commiting emotional suicide by having a relationship with children. NOBODY wants children, they just happen. Not sure how it just "happened" to two women, but I'm sure there is a good explanation.....

Usually, I like your posts for the most part.

However, since there are no tests to pass to have a kid, it's meaningless to assume people with kids are more qualified to raise kids or tell what makes a good parent.

Edit: I love posting things when two people before me post nearly the same thing.

99 times out of 100 youl know when your kid's ready to learn about sex. It's not done at set age and it's done in stages. For instance, you don't tell the kid who wants to know where babies come from about blowjobs. And you also might not want to tell the kid who's playing with him/herself in public about intercourse. :P It's almost always a series of answering questions when they come to you.

Like I said, my son had a lesbian gym coach - he asked questions, I answered. It ain't that tough a concept and if someone with no brain, like me, can figure it out, someone as smart as you should be able to write an entire book on the subject. :okthumb:

Personally, I feel sorry for the two bull dykes, because they are commiting emotional suicide by having a relationship with children. NOBODY wants children, they just happen. Not sure how it just "happened" to two women, but I'm sure there is a good explanation.....
Duh, they're like cancer and ANYONE can get cancer! B)
That's what condoms are for, among other methods of birth control.

Unfortunately they don't make cancer control pills to prevent cancer.
That is, until they have children - then they realize the truth.
There's nothing quite so humbling as having a child.

just proof that even 2 moms cant raise a kid correctly.

without dad women will FUCK UP KIDS.
How is this fucking up the kid? Being honest with them? Is the child supposed to lie? Are the women supposed to completely change who they are and what they do because their kid might tell someone at school they are gay? Give me a BREAK! Children at 5 can learn the reality of situations, kids at 7 even more so. There is NO reason the child should have been punished for explaining the situation when he wasn't being rude or derrogatory. I've heard 7 years old spout some pretty terrible things. How is this one of them?

I think it's better to be honest with a child, and punishing him about the realities of his family situation is NOT going to help matters. Perhaps taking the child aside and explainign to him that not everyone is COMFORTABLE with it or something, in terms he could understand, sure. But PUNISHING HIM?

I think his "mothers" did something right telling him the reality. Lying to children for any reason is absolutely not the way to do things, especially about sensitive and integral family situations.

I was raised my entire life without my father, and I think I'm a pretty well-rounded and good person. I don't see how the lack of a father in any way is going to change a situation if a child is well-loved and treated well. Apparently families that aren't perfect nuclear families according to society's standards just aren't acceptable? And how about all the fathers out there that are useless pieces of shit? I'd say some kids would be better OFF without their fathers.. the same can be said about EITHER sex of parent.

I'm disappointed in you Fletch. For being someone who doesn't seem to conform to societal mores and expectations, you sure parroted the right crap this time around.

Exactly... they let you know what they're ready for - and when they're ready. You have to know how to read your kids... and watch for the signs during the discussion to make sure you don't tell more than they asked for.

I guess I'm just always kind of surprised how some people can be so closed minded on things... especially in this industry where we're so desensitized to almost everything sexual on the planet. However, some people on this board don't surprise me anymore, as they are just typically contrary to everything the "regulars" seem to comment on. It's the whole look-at-me mentality that makes me just skip over their posts now for the most part. I mean, it's not even entertaining stupidity anymore.

Also - on the subject of age appropriateness... the Department of Education in California sent us two books with our homeschooling registration when my son hit 3rd grade a few years ago - that's for what, approximately ages 7-8? One was titled, "I Have Two Daddies" and the other was "I Have Two Mommies." It was *required reading* so that they could have a better understanding about "alternative lifestyle families" and to "encourage social understanding and acceptance of people who are different."

So... apparently - in California anyway - it was acceptable for the school board to want to teach my children about what gay is. Maybe it's just Lousiana that's screwed up? <_<

and fyi- When I was a teenager I worked for a woman who was a very masculine lesbian and lived with another female who you would think is a man.

And what exactly would that perfect age be???
Well, what age do they start teaching sex education in schools now days? Junior high?

I couldn't say exactly, but 7 years old is really young.

I have a brother who is 6 and I can't imagine him being aware of what gay means. He would be trying to kiss all the boys in his classroom if that was the case because he's just an innocent little kid.

And not that there is even anything wrong with little kids having affection towards each other, but do we really want them to start playing gay that young? He doesn't even know Santa Claus isn't real, let alone what being gay means!
Grade 4 is when it starts here.. not sure about down there, but they start it earlier because there are SO many parents who ARE NOT talking about it with their kids, yet kids in general are introduced to it younger and younger all the time. Turn on tv sometime, it's not hard to see where they get it from. Even half the commercials scream sexuality or sexual situations. Kids aren't stupid, they pick things up.

No, but its what happens in school. I know I learned about sex from my friends in school way before my parents explained it. I can still remember clearly in my mind seeing that first Playboy centerfold one of my school buddies had stashed in his locker and how excited it made all of us.

If it was part of his life situation I wouldn't be ANGRY with him for telling my kids. I would CERTAINLY never punish a child for telling the truth. However I might contact his parents and suggest to them that they perhaps explain to their son when is and is not an appropriate time to discuss it, and maybe tell children who ask to ask their own parents.

I could never punish a child for telling me or anyone else the truth, even if I didn't like it. How can they hold this child accountable for explaining something he obviously didn't understand could be problematic or unacceptable? If they should talk to anyone, they should discuss it with his mothers, if it's that big of aproblem.

Peaches, I didn't assume anything, I asked her a question and by her avoiding the answer in her post I then made the assumption.

She can tell me I am wrong if she pleases, I'm curious to know but she seems to not want to answer.

Get it? knock knock anybody home? This is turning into textual mish mosh at this point. I hate having to explain things like this. Please try harder to keep up!

Lady Mischief! I didn't say anything about all mother having kids unplanned!

See Serge, THIS is why I don't bother much with this shit nowdays. Gee whiz.

Bah don't be silly.. But as far as I knew it was always kind of rude to grill people about that. As far as I'm concerned, in the end, it doesn't matter if a child was planned or unplanned, if they are loved, well taken care of, well taught and have everything they need to have.

My first child was unplanned, only becase I was told I would NEVER have children, tried for years with my first husband and never succeeded. Doesn't mean he isn't wanted :)

That's okay. I don't understand the assumption that people with no kids know nothing about kids and are unable to have opinions on if a parent did something wrong or not

But people around here assume that, too.

The glass not always being half empty is a social problem that will be corrected when the revolution occurs. You will be given a glass by the state and the water in it will be poured according to your need.

Who decides your need? Not YOU, of course....it will be the local magistrate's half-brother's cousin.

Have faith in your fellow man to know how much water you need! Paradise is near!

I don't believe I said that, but I agree that you can NEVER truly know what parenthood is like, living with a child raising them day in and day out, being responsible for everything.. Potty training, sickness, temper tantrums, all that, until they actually HAVE children. It's like trying to imagine what it's like to live with a life-threatening illness or disease. You can NEVER truly say you know what it's like or can understand the experience unless you have it.

Doesn't mean people without kids can't have opinions, however no one opinion can possibly fit every parental situation. Every child, every family is different. It's easy to judge something based on an opinion, but unless you are fully aware of the situation at hand, that opinion means about as much as the piss I took this morning. Catch my meaning?

Yeah KRL, lots of bad things out there that kids are exposed to nowdays. Even video games. Its up to the parents to regulate such things though, and I have no doubt its not an easy task. Much credit to parents nowdays dealing with such things. I myself am not even sure if I want to bring any kids into this world its such an ugly place.

Nick, yep, according to the doctor all my insides work fine. I'm very responsible when it comes to birth control. Its much easier to have safe sex than it is to give birth and raise a kid, or have an abortion even. Much cheaper too hahaha
Trust me it was against my better judgment letting my kid buy his own copy of GTA for his PS2, but everyone one of his friends has it and he was playing anyway, so what do you do?

The problem is there are so many liberal parents that make it hard for conservative parents to exercise their parenting restrictions properly on their children.

I told my kid no, for months, til I finally just caved in cause he was going over to his friends so much to play it.
Youre a good dad KRL, you make some moms look like shit.
I disagree. A person living with the parents would know exactly what it is to be a parent in the terms you are describing and the manner in which it has been discussed so far. Furthermore, it is logical that they would have had parents themselves, and got an idea about parenting just from being a child. Discounting their opinions on the subject is irrational.

Wherein lies the difference is the emotional attachment to your child. Attempting to quantify THAT part of parenting, and relating THAT issue in the parent/child relationship, you could make a more reasonable statement that the person doesn't know what they are talking about because they have had no real life experience.

You don't have to be a parent to state an opinion on whether or not someone is a good parent or whether or not a parent did something the correct way.

By your own logic, any discussions of national politics are now meaningless since no one here has been President, Governor, or Senator.

I'm gonna start tossing that line out now. "You were never President! You don't know!"

let me tell you folks a little about jerry springer.

having worked in the southern california chatsworth porn capitol for over 4 years now, i have known MANY people that are paid to go on that show and act.

those strippers you see acting like cheating wives etc, they are paid and they come from all over, MANY from southern california.

its all just a show.

i couldnt understand how some stripper was excited about getting paid 200 bucks, a free hotel room, and flight to humiliate herself on tv.

but nonetheless, they do it, and then they come back to the strip club, and brag about it, and how much fun it was, they end up spending way more than they make, and come home kinda bitter.

i would have never thought this, until the porngirls started being shipped off because springers management found a goldmine of idiots in this valley

Both were excellent parents but didn't try and teach the kids about gayness when they were little, so they could go to school and mouth off about it to their friends and be made fun of.

Kids in today's world don't need shit like that.
Hmm, so basically what you are saying is to teach the attitude that being gay is wrong (by NOT addressing it as a reality)......and condone children who make fun of people/kids who stick their necks out there......okay.....I get where you are coming from now............

You are right about that, Jim. The teacher involved and the disciplinarian in question should be locked up in a room with the idiot from LA who wrote the now infamous "master and slave" memo.

Well, it just so happens that I know a little bit about this subject. I have three beautiful daughters, all heterosexual and all very normal, who have two mothers - and have since the youngest was two, the oldest was seven. It caused them a few problems along the way with a (suprisingly few) students/other parents, a couple of teachers, and one born-again bitch of a principal who disrespected my daughter, her mother, and me - and who is no longer the principal of one of the "plum" magnet high schools on account of it - although I'm sure she enjoys the challenge of working with the discipline probems of an urban school district.

We told the kids what's what from the time they FIRST asked. They were bright, inquisitive little shits who would have seen through us in a minute if we'd tried lies like 'roommates."

I understand why adults who have trouble getting around the fact that not all families are traditionally nuclear would advocate lying to kids. Just because THEY are very slow doesn't mean that mosts children are. I have never thought that was a good idea. My ex's lover is a bitch and a half, but I never allowed my kids to play on the fact that I felt that way (they all tried) - I knew she loved the kids, and I backed her up when necessary the same way I did their biological mother.

Why the hell would any parents try and teach a 7 year old what the word "gay" means???

I have seen situations like this, and they tell their kids they are roomates until they are old enough to understand the reality of it.

You obviously are not a parent or gay.
Now, Dianna - since when does making a dumb statement preclude someone being a parent?

I couldn't say exactly, but 7 years old is really young.

I have a brother who is 6 and I can't imagine him being aware of what gay means. He would be trying to kiss all the boys in his classroom if that was the case because he's just an innocent little kid.

And not that there is even anything wrong with little kids having affection towards each other, but do we really want them to start playing gay that young? He doesn't even know Santa Claus isn't real, let alone what being gay means!
I know it seems like I’m targeting you…I’m not. Its comments like yours that really piss me off. No doubt you are shadowed by the same ignorance so many people are.

Being gay is not about sex. It’s a lifestyle choice and should be entitled the same right of choice as anything else. Why should this choice, a relationship/love, be handled like a taboo or forbidden topic? Why can’t people just raise their children to be tolerant and accepting of all people regardless of race, gender or lifestyle choices? Lying to them to cover up a very real truth seems pretty fucked up to me.

My son was raised by two women. His world was full of choices, love and acceptance. We didn’t share our private sexual preferences with him. When he was 15 and asked me about sex I gave him some great books explaining all the different options including role-play and bdsm. I said, “Read these first then come talk to me.” We spent time talking about it. Through the years he’s dabbled in things and we still continue to talk about things openly. I would change my relationship for anything in the world. We have a very honest real bond. I would hide anything from him. He’s literally my best friend.

Get a grip on reality darling. Times are changing.

When you really take it all to the core everyone has some male and female to an extent in them.

Look at trannies. Some of them you can't tell they aren't female and they look damn fine.

Look at gays, some are ultra masculine, buff and macho and you could never tell in a million years they are gay. Some are ultra feminine.

Same with lesbians. And in my opinion, I think the majority of females have lesbian tendencies and way more women have a lesbian experience than men have a gay experience.

One of man's most common hopes/dreams is that beautiful women really do bump into each other and decide to have wild carpet munching right there on the floor.
Or that he'll come home one night and find his wife waiting for him with a lovely female stranger and ask him if he'd rather watch or participate.

Men hope that all women are lesbians or have lesbian tendencies just like women hope that all men are faithful. :awinky:

And why is that Carrie? I agree completely watching two women go at it is a total turn on. Yet so many people get repulsed by the thought of two guys doing the same thing.

Do women get turned on at all by the fantasy of two men going at it the way us men get turned on by two women?

You're all bisexual.

No women want to admit it. And I'm not saying that you're all oogling other women. But every chick I have ever talked to for real has at some point either experimented or said under the right conditions with the right woman they would do it.

It dates back to caveman times. Big strong caveman has a harem of 12 women. But can only service a limited few each night. So the rest had to do something.

That's my killer theory and I'm sticking by it!

But I do really think all women are bisexual.

My brother, and my sister are "gay". Still amazes me how 2 turned out straight and 2 gay, but oh well. Anyway, in their eyes they were born that way. They don't believe that anyone made them the way they are, but it was there from the moment they were concieved.

Although I can't imagine them ever having children, the discussion has come up a few times. My sister's take on it is that the child would be told they are "roomies" until they were old enough to understand. My brother's take is that the child should know from the beginning. He's the type of person that puts it out there regardless of how much you like it. He doesn't believe in lieing to his family even if it might be for their own good.

As a mother of 3 teenagers, my kids have known about my siblings from the very beginning. And if I myself were gay, I would want them to know. There are several reasons for this, and some might not agree with it, but everyone has their own opinions.

When your kids are in school, especially elementary, there are TONS of performances, plays and school functions. Now, certainly most kids know the word "gay" from the time they are in kindergarden. They may not understand what it means, but they won't hesitate to call another student gay or a fag. Now, at these functions, normally you would see the mother and father, but in a gay relationship, you will see mother and mother, or dad and dad. Eventually, other kids and teachers will ask questions. Then the child has to explain why both parents are of the same sex. Should they not understand it in order to explain it? I think they would be picked on more if they didn't understand. I mean how can you explain something you don't understand? Let's face it, kids can be cruel to one another and if the child isn't armed with knowledge he's just a sitting duck for ridicule.

Sex ed has always been a part of school curriculum . First, in high school you had to take it. They thought wow, there are an aweful lot of middle school kids getting pregnant. So, they added it to middle school curriculum. Now, it's part of the elementary school curriculum. Yes, my kids had to take it in 5th grade. Now, this same child goes to sex ed and they teach about the male and female reproduction process. This kid figures out something is definately wrong there because there isn't a female/male situation at home, and starts wondering why. He then raises his hand and asks the teacher. Now this "unarmed" child has opened himself up to the teasing and rdicule.

Now, if schools were to teach about gay relationships at the same time that they taught hetrosexual relations, perhaps there wouldn't be an issue. But, our schools would much rather not address that and leave it to the parents. Now, the parents get blamed for not teaching them, and they get blamed if they do?????

Also, I wonder if that same 7 year old asked his friend about his mom and mom, and the kid explain what being hetrosexual was, would his friend then be in trouble???
