little encounter today.

Dr. Birbrair's reaction:

1) US Academia's with it's tenuer system is laughable at best and pityful at the worst

2) If USA wasn't a rich country importing brains from all over the world-
it would have been a third world country using it's own graduates

3) He is very interested to hear what they teach you about "Holocost never exhisted"

Thank you for making my father laugh hard, it's good for him!
;-)))

Do I have to post that I do not care? Or from this point on can you just assume it and save me some typing?

ok, you don't v=care about my retired father,
you don't care about my cousin,
http://euroisrael.huji.ac.il/list-european.html
because he signed pro Israel petition,
I have MORE relatives in academia...
his father, the nuclear physisit, my uncle
http://arxiv.org/abs/nucl-th/9907058

This concludes the list of my LIVING close relatives from academia world...

..and this 4 Birbrairs will gladly discuss with ease the subjects from human birth (my father), to Statistics (my coisin), to how blow this planet apart (my uncle), to how beat people up on the boards and ride them like mexican whores (your expression) and that would be me
;-)))

Depends which parent I talk to.

I talk to my mom forever, we ramble on the phone about everything. She mostly listens to me, I do most of the talking, she laughs and goes along.

Id say the average length of phone call between us would last about 45 minutes. We talk about what my little brothers are up to, their college and high school choices, we talk about what I am doing, I talk about life, anything that may be bothering me or causing me problems, you know same old mom/son stuff.

Me and my step dad talk about music a lot, since thats what he is involved in.

He is the music side of me, while we dont talk about punk rock, we surely talk about music, everything from Sam and Dave to how his familys clubs and bars are doin.

As I have said, my background is The Blues and Jazz, I just listen to punk rock :awinky:

My mom hates punk rock, but likes Kiss and Alice Cooper.

hehehe

Fletch,
do you know how we defined "boring" in Russia?

"Boring" is the man who when is asked "How are you" gives you a 45 minutes run down

Ain't that the truth...sitting through the mandatory student lectures my Dad would throw in our home (in my teens) was enough to convince me that there were no brains left in the world...

THINK BEFORE YOU POST"?

Once? 3 times? 10 times?

1) Please define your DEFINITION of EVERYTHING and how YOUR everything excludes the boards.

2) women' listening...ahhh...
when I was 9 years younger than you,
I fell in love with the girl who listened to EVERYTHING I said and said..yes.
I thought I met the smartest woman in the world
;-)))
I was madly in love for 2weeks..untill I stoped talking and realised, that the smartest woman in the world has no a single idea of her own
;-)))

our parents listen to us by default!

my father does, I do,
and I bet you $1000 than when you talk to your mom about the boards-
she won't hang up on you, despite your first contradicitng post to the contrary!

Try it and report back that I was right as usual

People talk about board personalities away from this business?

I dont think my mom would hang up on me for talking about a board, but I dont think I would need to talk to my mom about a board.

and yet on another thread you say ,

Sure moms instill the most in us, but there ARE certain things I feel women CANNOT teach their kids, and for one reason or the other, it involves the bonds between a father and son.

No desprespect to single moms, my mom was one. Somewhat still is and has 3 children

People infatuated with a board personality.

People that think they know people because someone makes posts on a board.

You wanna know me? Call me, boards are for profit, and that is the reason I am here.

Starting thread after thread with my name in it, and riding me isnt going to do anything but bring me profit.

As I have been contacted for business by even your top advertisers here.

Your board is great Serge, I just hate seeing the people that post on it reduced to childish antics as some way to justify their immaturity and lack of social activity.
