ATM Card Cleaner

I don't know if anyone saw Dateline this week, but they had a very interesting segment on ATM machines. It turns out that they planted this known felon (fraud and jewelry theft) on probation in a position to try and purchase and ATM machine. Only 1 out of the 12 did a background check. He was able to purchase the machine and set it up in a storefront. If you watch the video, you will see that a few days after putting it in place, he put a sign next to it with a reader built into it. The sign said, "Clean your ATM card for free." Tons of people fell for this. This was almost as good as the British station that handed out free, cheap pens in exchange for passwords. 90% of those people gave up their passwords.

I think that everyone that Mitnick was able to exploit were victems of their own laziness and stupidity and not his genius. At least that what i read and saw on TV.

Labret, as Serge would say........it's a very long story!

Back in '96 I became a big Kevin Mitnick supporter. I took his collect calls from prison for over four years. Geeky didn't know Mitnick in those days, although she talks like he has been in her life forever, when in fact, she has been living with freaky Mitnick for less than one year.

He is a very bad seed. He got out of prison after taking the money and help from many of his supporters...and then he vanished and started attacking the very people who helped him like me, the radio hams, his attorney, Richard Sherman, and his co-defendant who broke his ass to help fucking Mitnick.

Mitnick spread lies about me without ever meeting me. He stalked me on ham radio, he gave lies to his groupies so they could post invasive comments on the internet about my family, listing their social security numbers, addresses, and phone numbers. He continued until many hams convinced me that I must file a report with the FCC...which I finally did because of the harassment.

Mitnick continued to hide behind others, including girlgeek who is his gofer. She only believes Mitnick. When I tried to expose Mitnick on Oprano, I had to create a hostile environment for myself so Mitnick would feel comfortable to climb out of his hiding place. He finally showed his lying cracker ass in October. He denied all my statements. He started attacking my relatives again and gave out their personal information. When Mitnick's poor Uncle Mitchell told me to give his name and telephone number in the thread and asked for his grandson to call him...Kevin Mitnick refused. Mitnick owes his uncle thousands of dollars, and he refuses to pay his ill uncle one cent. He refuses to call his uncle. Mitnick introduced me to his Uncle Mitchell while he was in prison. Both Uncle Mitchell and I accepted thousands of expensive collect calls from Kevin Mitnick. We stood by him, only to be backstabbed. When Mitnick and Darci recently sued me in Small Claims Court, they used Mitnick's grandmother's address. Granny is ill. She doesn't need this kind of turmoil in her life. But Darci & Mitnick are afraid to reveal their home address. Poor Granny goes along with the program because she loves her grandson, and he doesn't give a shit about her or anybody by himself.

Now we are stuck with girlgeek who gets on her pedestal and defends her cracker boyfriend. She knows nothing. She is jobless with a kid and she has no life. She holds on to Mitnick because she enjoys the little bit of attention she receives when she travels with him. Mitnick makes his money by doing personal appearances. He bullshits about that crappy book with his name on it. He is a loser. As long as girlgeek comes to Oprano and spreads her lies and tries to sue me for libel and slander when I am speaking the truth, I will continue to kick Mitnick's ass....until Oprano tells me to shut up.

That's a very brief summary of why Mitnick is someone who brings down all hackers. Hackers who help correct problems are okay. It's people like Kevin Mitnick who has a 25-yr history of going to jail and being destructive and causing millions of dollars of damage who deserves to rot in prison.

Fletch, she doesn't know. The station never disclosed the reasons publicly. The show was cancelled due to funding cutbacks at the station, KFI 640AM. Prior to it being cancelled, it was number one in its early morning time slot, which can be verified through ratings books for the station.

KFI was expecting big results since Mitnick was appearing every 15 minutes on TV. Well, on TV, there were professional reporters who interviewed Mitnick. That's a lot different than doing your own radio show. Mitnick was given different radio personalities to help him. Trust me...it didn't help. Mitnick was and is an amateur. Jesus, just listen to my tapes of Mitnick on ham radio. Pathetic. Mitnick thought that because he had been stirring up the pot on renegade ham radio frequencies since he was a teenager, that he would waltz right into KFI and take over. NOT!

It was painful listening to Mitnick limp along. He never did one show alone in the entire year he was on KFI. The station didn't trust him to do his own show alone. Who would???? Mitnick only shines when he is reading from a script or when he is being interviewed by someone who keeps the show moving along.

I have cleaned Mitnick's clock every time we have argued on 147.435. I had a piss-ant signal, but I got my points across to the hams. The only hams who back Mitnick are the ones who are losers like him.

Geeky, here a little inside story just for you that Mitnick didn't tell you.

When Mitnick decided he wanted to start a Mitnick Defense Fund, I told him that I would contact Lewis De Payne and my attorney friends, and we would help him. He refused. He said he wanted his granny Reba to be in charge because people liked her and would trust her much more than another hacker or an attorney. He said that Granny would bring in the bucks.

So poor Granny Reba was given the job of the Mitnick Defense Fund. Mitnick told me and others to give out Granny's phone number and home address on the Mitnick Mailing List. Granny was in the Mitnick/2600 documentary. She is a sweetie and we never had one harsh word until Kevin Mitnick got out of prison and told her never to speak to me. She called me and we have had conversations. Her grandson lied to her. Poor Granny made many trips to visit her grandson in prison It was extremely stressfull for her then and definitely now.

Another Granny story...Her beloved grandson never gave her one tape of his radio shows. He never gave her a copy of the "Takedown" movie. She told me that he was very busy and she understood. BULLSHIT! Once Mitnick was out of prison, he even ignored his grandmother who was there for him since the unfortunate day he was born.

Mitnick is a LOSER. Darci, there are two reasons you left the Porn Center of the world, the San Fernando Valley. One, you wanted Mitnick's Granny and Mother to babysit your daughter as you took off with Kevin and travelled. Second, Kevin was too cheap to pay the rent in the LA area, so off you went to Las Vegas, home of celebrities, and home of losers, like Kevin Fucking Mitnick.

De Payne did everything he could do to support Mitnick. De Payne was responsible for the website, giveup.com. Was Mitnick thankful? Fuck No! Mitnick wouldn't recognize the site. It was done, tongue-in-cheek style, and Mitnick saw no humor in it. He wanted his own website with his name, of course. So De Payne got the name, mitnick.com. Kevin still wasn't happy. He decided he wanted kevinmitnick.com. Mitnick was being a prick. He didn't just request things, he DEMANDED that he be given complete control, even though the rest of us were doing all the damn work.

Giveup.com was the first official Mitnick website. Mitnick never thanked anyone involved with the site. Bottom line...Mitnick was a fucking tyrant. He bitched at everybody, but he did his bitching through me or one of his trusted supporters. We took all the shit, while Mitnick acted like he wasn't the one who was the bastard responsible for all the bitching. I made excuses for him because he would call at a late hour and complain about his toothache, his hiatal hernia, his panic attacks, and his heart papitations. I told myself that I shouldn't get upset with him because he needed a friend, and here he was in prison without a clue as to how long he would remain there. Yes, I do have a heart. Mitnick used that understanding side of me to get what he wanted.

Mitnick doesn't want to admit it now, but at the time when 2600 wanted to take over Mitnick's site, kevinmitnick.com, Mitnick was very upset. Mitnick drove everyone crazy with his collect calls. It was very difficult to reach Emmanuel Goldstein of 2600. I think Goldstein was just sick of Mitnick. Even Mitnick's present business partner, Alex Kasper, was sick of Mitnick. Nobody wanted to accept the collect calls. It came down to me, Uncle Mitchell, and Granny Reba. We took the calls. We were the fools.

Why not ask Darci about giveup.com? She acts like she is such an expert. She knows nothing. I lived it. She reads bits and pieces from the internet and listens to her cracker BF lie through his teeth. I have witnesses. I was a witness!

Sarettah, I really like Mitnick Man. I was just learning to use PhotoShop, and a friend helped me put this together. I was so proud of it. I sent Kevin a b&w picture of it, and he was unimpressed.

Those were the good days...the happy days. Not all the times were bad. There some really funny productive days that I will always remember.

JR would have been a valuable asset back then when we were putting together the Mitnick website and the Mitnick pamphlets and the Mitnick banners, t-shirts, and stuff to sell to raise money for the Mitnick Defense Fund.

I think you misunderstood.

Im talking about partners, and who really owns what etc.

Kinda like having a chubby mascot guy that takes all the theat while the deal spnning money holders hide in the shadows.

You see, babenet.com was sending out spam giving my name, babe.net as the return address. People were emailing me, threatening me, and calling me names. I thought, what the fuck is happening? Babenet.com's office was in the valley, so I gave them a call and asked for an explanation. They never got back to me. I finally got in touch with Rob Gould, but he also ignored me. Sometimes you have to say, *I'm not going to take it anymore!*

That happens in large number of corporations, adult and non-adult. Many of the restaurants and bars in Atlanta are owned by people whose name you will never hear - they don't want the press.

When I was working for an ATT Reseller one of the owners was into, shall we say, "shadier businesses". My favorite was when representatives of one of the largest Baptist Churches in the south came in to work out a money laundering deal. :P

It happens probably a LOT more than you're aware of and especially in this business, I can see why people would want a front man. :) I see nothing wrong with it.

You're correct - I assumed based on your posts. Usually when someone points out an issue (or chain of command) with a company, and then laughs about it, it's because it's something special instead of actually being par for the course. :)
