How are the mosquitos in the summertime?

Not bad, not swampy around here, however the horse flies could carry away small children.

While Buff and Billy were visiting Montreal a couple weeks ago, Buff mentioned to me that MikeAI uses some kind of device to keep flying insects away from his house.

Mike... any info you can provide me with on that would be appreciated. I have a huge backyard and a terrible mosquito problem in the spring every year.

Nice, but it just reminds me of growing up in the North East and freezing my ass off for 4 months every year.

I don't know how you people in the living in the cold states enjoy that year after year.

I'll stick to my palm trees and pina coladas year round.

when i was little, we had a small pond by our house that was horrible for misquitos.

my grandfather (inbred hillbilly trailer trash) decided he would dump 1000 gallons of diesel into the pond to kill all the mosquitos. then he proceeded to start throwing in old batteries and other garbage for good measure.

looking back, i wish he would not have done that.

the good news is that i have started filming my family and playing practical jokes on them and its pretty fucking comical. in fact its comical to the point of being able to carry itself as a network show.

i would like to leave you with a quote from my semi-psychotic, reclusive aunt who lives in a trailer in the forest in Alaska surrounded by state of the art infra-red, night vision video suveillence cams who recently turned religious:

"God says in that Bible that he wants your fuckin' ass to pray every goddam day. Ya gotta take that shit seriously. Every fucking day of yer life"

Cool photo.

I am heading on a cruise tommorow, for a week. Before you think its paradise... I am going with my entire family, including parents in-law.

Luckily everyone gets along great - of course we have not been jammed on a boat for a week together. Should be interesting!!

I will have some photos when we get back!!

Solution for Mosquitos is the Masquito Magnet, I have 4 of the commercial versions on my land. It makes is bareable to be outdoors at night during the summer.

Amazingly, we got about 1/2 an inch of snow tonight! This is the earliest I can remember it snowing in the 30+ years I've lived the Atlanta area. :bjump:

Peaches,

Up to 8 inches on the ground now today and I'm still waiting on a new battery for the snowmobile, angers me to see tracks down the road and know they're not mine! :)

"Men's" measuring or standard measuring? I've found 8 inches isn't always 8 inches. :nyanya:

Snowmobiling has always looked like fun. TAKE PICTURES! :)

The sun is shining, the grass is green
The orange and palm trees sway
There's never been such a day
In Beverly Hills, LA
But it's December the 24th
And I'm longing to be up north

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know.
Where the treetops glisten,
And children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow.

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write.
May your days be merry and bright.
And may all your Christmases be white.

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write.
May your days be merry and bright.
And may all your Christmases be white

The ONLY way to spend Christmas!!
