I thought I'd give em a shot and send some targetted traffic to a few sites.

How's google adwords working out for you?

Adwords does ok, but takes some getting used to. I lost a few $k experimenting and working it all out, and have a nice little steam of traffic now. You could go in really cautious too :)

It wont make you a fortune unless you are willing to put in the time to working it out and keeping an eye on your competition, but you can make a few good $

Helps to have your own program where you get the lot.

Be very carefull which words you choose... you can end up paying a lot of money with no return...

I have used PPC including Google Adwords with some success.

It is not the Holy Grail - just a stream of great quality targeted traffic.

The quantity is low so it is not going to make a huge difference in your bottom line.

If you experiment with the words and landing page you should be able to double your investments...

It's all about experimenting. Some words and site combinations do great, and others do not. Expect to lose a bit of money poking around, but in the end it is worthwhile. At least it has been for me. :okthumb:

Adwords works pretty well for us, but like everyone here has said, it takes a lot of my time, and i have to be careful not to outspend myself and get no traffic.

If you have the time to put into it, it works.

one suggestion, select keywords that are very specific, ie, avoid sex/porn/etc and chose words like "foot fetish porn" and you will get way better value per click.

I use them. like others have said watch the text you use, my ads got declined about every 2 hours for the first week (exaggeration) until the support cats up there and I worked it out so that it was relevant enough for them and yet filtered enough for me.

I suggest to that you research what keywords will work best for the exact page your sending them to. its best to get fewer hits that are more likely to be producers than to spend a few hundred bucks on almost targeted traffic and have them all back out.

Also adwords work best when within a few more clicks you can filter the duds out again.

Filter, filter, filter. There are some competition bots out there, so unless have the cash to ignore them or have the software to block them, stay out of the highly competitive slots.

Thanks ya'll for the feedback.

R3K, what's up bro - long time no speak!
I am not afraid of bots really, the traffic I am getting is already highly targetted and seems to work out fine after a day of traffic and 500 clicks.
