OK, so I am reading a certain thread for the past 3 days or so and chuckling to myself. My wife hears it and asks whats so funny, so I proceed to read a string of posts to her aloud. She thinks the behavior of a certain someone is amusing as hell as well. So here is the problem I am having.
I NEED TO PACK! yet I am often at my laptop reading Oprano! worse yet, boxes everywhere and all my wife can hear is me clanking away on the keys or giggling like a school girl (a fat lazy American high school girl). Can someone help me here?
Serge, can you ban me till Dec 2cd PUHLEEEEZE!!?? LOL

You don't care one iota about Labret and his opinions, yet you can't pull yourself away from the computer even though you really ought to?

Some might say that sounds a bit inconsistent.

I can not answer for spaz, but I am fascinated with this Marxist, I haven't seen Marxists in 24 years and playing with his head is a joy of my life...
I'd rather play with Marxists in the Cyber Space than live in the country which was the result of their "experiment"

It's just entertainment thats all, doesn't mean he cares...

I watch movies that I can't take my eyes off doesn't mean I care about the cast, writers or the director... it's just entertainment.

Oh boy, you sure are quick to assume a lot there BRISK. I enjoy fear factor as well. Watch it every week except this one. It entertains me. Much like the on going thread involving Labret. It entertains me, I enjoy being entertained. I have no more emotional commitment to Lagret then I do to the intenstine swilling contestants on fear factor.
Entertainment I enjoy, but caring about the paticipants.............your joking arent you?

How can you, in all seriousness ask that question? I do not think Labret is entertaining, The thread that involved Labret was entertaining. It could have been anyone with opposing ideas to what I would call common sence. Or an arrogant belief in their own infallibility. I have seen it before and it amuses me terribly to play with them. Do I say they are not playing with me? Nope, read the entire thread, I thanked him for playing. I also foound his refering to me as scooter, and talkin' 'bout my NASCAR collectors plates to be very clever and downright funny. Didnt YOU? As far as him entertaining me, he is just another in a growing list of people who come off as know it alls [insert name of the next toy here] that will migrate here to be played with and forgotten.

If it truly entertains you then that's wonderful, but it might seem to some that you're going to great effort to inform people that you're only being as involved as you are because it "entertains you"

Often when people go to such lengths to show people something, they're really trying to hide the truth.

heh heh and you are going to equal lengths to try and prove that this means more than it does. I have gone to no lengths other than to address posts you have made on the subject. Unlike many, if a board doesn't entertain me I leave. Luckily for me, there are a lot of very entertaining people on this board who I enjoy regular discourse with even when there isn't a 'punching bag' around, to use the venacular of the board. If you choose to hold onto some misguided belief that any of this means anything more to me than a fun time, that is your descision. You don't know me nor I you, but the first post I made on this board I stated 'Honesty in all I do'. Believe it or not for once again
It matters not to me {translation = I don't care if you do or if you don't}

Then let the others state it, they will get the same replies.
If i were accused of a crime, I would deny it at every possibly oppurtunity. if someone brought it up I would adress it. In my eyes 'caring' about Labret or his opinions is nothing more than a crime of absurdity, and I will deny it stenuously each time the charge is leveled. However, participating in a discussion of his ideas/ideals can/has been entertaining to say the least.

In my own life I've lied about things, then tried to make people believe something else by stressing a certain point. I've seen others do it plenty of times. I was relating an observation, not psychoanalyizing him.

I merely stated it as an attempt to show that you’re trying to read more into something than I actually believe to be there.

You are trying to analyse certain posts for meaning in a way that only a head reader (psychiatrist) would do. These are just posts, that’s all… no hidden meaning… no deeper look into the psyche of a person.

People often use their board persona to act as someone they're not, or someone they would like to be, or maybe they're even acting more like their true self than they do in real life.

Could you please explain your theory with greater detail?
People often use their board persona to act as someone they're not, or someone they would like to be, or maybe they're even acting more like their true self than they do in real life.[/b][/quote]

I've enjoyed observing people's reactions to Labret. There is often much emotion involved. Great stuff.

It's certainly beats going over to GFY and posting threads asking what everyones favorite color is.

I agree but this is just an extension of their existing personality.

Can you tell from my posts what kind of person I am?
What wrongs I've done?
If I have a temper in the real world?
If I was abused as a child?
Did I excel at sports but struggle with real school work?
Or was it the other way around?

If you can answer any single one of the above I'll give your claim credit.

I never showed any concern whether my observations were right. Probably because there's only one person who knows if they were, and it isn't me.

here is another mistake...
always use "The law of big numbers"
don't even try to predict./analyze a SINGLE event...it's impossible,
while using the Law of Big Numbers together with Benford Law,
allows VERY accurate predictions/analysis of the random events over the large population

I think it was perceived as an implied claim/conclusion due to your approach. Don't ask me to give examples because then I would just have to copy/paste several of your earlier posts down here, and I am not up for it.

Fair enough.

I wasn't trying to claim anything. In fact, I rarely try to claim anything. However, I do make lots of observations. Some are right, some are wrong. Just making conversation.

understood, as long as you realize that sometimes making observations that might be interpretted a certain way may end up putting you on the defensive. I like the way you think (I know I know, big deal huh?) I just wish you would exspand a little earlier in your observations/making conversation

Sorry, I can't be bothered trying to push my convictions on other board folk. But I do enjoy observing the reactions when others try and push their convictions.

As spaz would say, they provide for good entertainment :awinky:
