I'm multitasking - building a few sites, looking up keywords, talking here, and I have my hair dryer pointed at the rotting wood next to my shower so I can figure out where the leak is and recaulk. :P

No, not a hint - you know I don't hint about these things - I come right out and say "Help!!". :P

It's caulked to hell and back. I won't be able to take a shower in there for a couple of days while it dries, but if that sucker leaks again, then it's finding a crack that doesn't exist in this universe. :)

The whole damn thing is caulked. I've spent 2+ years trying to find the leak (and it was here before I moved it). The next step is replacing the whole damn stall.

ICQ not connecting today - Ellijay must be having a bad day. I'll try again tomorrow after rebooting. :headwall:

Peaches are you sure it's not a pipe that is spraying onto the wood and then finding its way through? Even a very fine mist spray from a teeny tiny leak in the pipe can cause lots of rotting.

We just redid our tub walls and faucets/handles a few months ago. God what a pain.

I don't think so. I'll try to describe where it is:

When you look into the bathroom (all my bathrooms are VERY small, BTW - the joys of living in a vacation cabin. :P ), there's a corner stall shower on the back left. The "leak" is on the far left of the stall if you're looking at the stall from the outside. AFAIK, the pipes wouldn't be running that far away from the main water supply and/or egress (the drain). I've replaced many of the sliding tub doors because they leaked, and that's basically what the entire shower stall is. :(

The main problem is that I have hardwood floors in EVERY room except in the basement. This includes the bathrooms, so it's rotten out a nice piece of wood I'm going to have to replace.

I have one coming this week because the main pipe is leaking, so he'll look at it, but again, I can't imagine it's a pipe problem due to the layout of the pipes. Not to mention it's centralized on that one area on the floor - no where else (and yes, I've opened the ceiling tiles in the basement and looked. :awinky: ).
