it was a fair representation of the industry, but i liked the ted koppel interview a few months back where he was tearing the government agents new rectums.

i really liked the point the guy from AVN made that it's not 800 guys renting 1 million videos each.

I thought it was pretty decent too, but Luke Ford.....????
I don't think I have seen anyone so ashamed of being in the Adult business. It showed. Seemed like he was speaking in the third person. hahahaha
Must have wanted his 5 minutes of fame.

I'm sure they wanted a discordant note ... and of course, what else does Luke do.

Missed the program also. Appreciate the story link.

My favorite part.

Luke Ford, who spent seven years writing an Internet gossip column about the adult entertainment industry for his own his own Internet Web site, isn't sure what to make of it.

“It's become popular, cool, acceptable in this 18-to-25 age group. My age group, I'm 37, my age group and up. We think porn is something that's shameful. But for kids half my age, they think it's cool,” says Ford, who guesses it’s an act of rebellion, embracing one of society’s last taboos

Heck I am 37 now : (

Luke should be careful using that "we" word.

I missed it. Overall though I aqree, porn is more socially acceptable then ever. Once this last generation of anti-porners dies off, there's not enough people with that train of thought in the pipeline to replace them and it will be a whole different world in the balance of power.

Then there are the big hotel chains: Hilton, Marriot, Hyatt, Sheraton and Holiday Inn, which all offer adult films on in-room pay-per-view television systems. And they are purchased by a whopping 50 percent of their guests, accounting for nearly 70 percent of their in-room profits. One hotel owner said, "We have to have it, our guests demand it.”

50%? If this number is true, it speaks for itself. Would anyone here have guessed that it was this high? Not me.

50% of guests watch porn in their rooms?!?!?!??!?!

Does anyone know where they got this data from? i'd be very curious to read the ACTUAL survey that they made this statement from ... I wonder how much of their business is accidental from people pressing the wrong buttons on the remote - probably about as much as the 'forget to cancel' crowd is for us!!

I just wish I was not 37.. maybe then I would not think porn is something that's shameful.

At this point, there's nothing left for you but to get married, have a kid and build a house. :nyanya:
