Buff

Currently in Iraq there are rewards for several of the ex-regime heads of the toppled government. They range from the tens of thousands of dollars for the lower level guys to $30 million for Saddam.

If someone or group of entrepenuerial-minded wealthy friends of mine would be willing to finance an expedition to Iraq for me and 3 associates, which I estimate would come to no more than $50k, I would agree to split all rewards my group might earn with those creditors 50/50. I cannot guarantee success, but my credentials with respect to small unit tactics, target interdiction, and direct action strike missions are available for viewing and are beyond criticism. I have technical and tactical proficiency, first hand knowledge of the region, and combat experience and competence.

This is not a joke. I am serious.

My desired deployment date after training, equipping, and gathering logistical info and intelligence is mid February. I have a "team" already available.

Anyone interested?

Buff, it would cost more then $50k

But I love the idea... maybe you can put some URLs on your uniforms... sell sponsorships!!

Think about landing a big fish in Iraq.... you could be on TV and tell everyone to check out ChatRoomRomeo!!

You guys took my question the wrong way.
I wasn't being catty at all - I was being serious, as I feel Buff was being. This is something extremely dangerous that he's proposing and while I know some of his past military titles (which impress the hell out of me), I also know that it takes longer than 2 1/2 months to get back into being as limber as he used to be. He's still muscular as all hell and could probably throw me through a wall, but I said that he's "thicker" - NOT fatter. And I meant THICKER. As in less limber, less flexible, and most importantly - slower.
I think there's a serious difference between being completely toned and limber, and being buffed up to the point where your chest looks like a barrel and your arms and legs are tree trunks and the sheer mass of them hinders very flexible movement. Of course I could be wrong, as I've never been like that. It just *looks* that way, so I am asking.

Sorry for any misunderstanding, Buff; honest to god I did not mean to say "you're fat", and that seems to be the way it read. I meant you're bigger now and maybe less flexible, limber, and fast. If that makes sense.

Are you saying that his old uniforms might make his ass look bigger than it really is?

Carrie
11-23-2003, 10:24 PM
I know, I should probably just go back and delete those, because I doubt anyone is going to understand what I'm trying to say.

Put it this way...
You know Travis Fimmel, the guy who plays Tarzan? He's lean and limber. I can easily picture him quickly scrambling on his belly through a dark trench or kicking someone's ass in hand to hand combat.

Now take Arnold Swarzenegger - a huge tree. No one in their right mind could say he is fat, right? But he's THICK. I look at him and the only thought in my mind is "hard as rock". Stiff. Like all of that muscle is stiff and actually limits smooth, fast mobility. I *cannot* see him scrambling on his belly through a dark trench, and while he might be able to kill someone in hand to hand combat, it seems that someone with more mobility and speed would be able to get the upper hand before he swung those huge tree trunk arms around to connect with them.

Does that make any sense or explain it any better?

Ok, I'll bite...

So Buff, whether you're serious, half serious, kidding or totally hypothetical.... What's your plan to find these fugitives?

The way I see it, taking them out is the easier half of the equation, the trick seems to be finding them. Money hasn't produced any leads. High tech surveillance isn't working because these guys have gone guerilla and decidedly low tech to avoid detection.

Same as Osama in Afghanistan, the terrain, size of the territory and lack of trust of Americans by the locals makes for a very favorable hiding place.

HP, the advantage I see to it is that an independent group has far less rules to worry about - if any. Like the General who's in trouble for scaring a prisoner into talking by firing a gun *near* him. You wouldn't have to worry about shit like that, or about higher-ups telling you that you couldn't enter a certain area or follow a certain lead until someone had cleared it for approval.

I think you'd have more luck asking for $50k to take out George Bush!

in fact if all the 100,000 estimated people that marched thru london the other day to tell him to fuck off out of england gave you a pound you'd have about $150k, would you be able to do the whole Bush family for that rambo ?
