Serge, one of the few times I have seen a majority of this industry act is with people who are working with Acacia.

Dave and his company eagerly worked with, settled, and probably have a very sweet heart deal with Acacia. Not to mention the point the Dave bought a bunch of ACTG stock knowing that his company was going to settle ( and other??) and that the stock would pop up.... then he sold out.

So not only is he possibly violanting insider trader laws - but he also crossed webmasters, and others in the industry. People are cutting back on traffic to those who have settled!!

I used to love seeing spikes on milfhunter when i would pump my traffic there. that was fun :)

In a way Alexa is a good guestimate of how well a site converts. Cuz you know good converting sites will get a lot of traffic. Studying alexa traffic trends could sometimes be a good indicator.

I have been contacted by no less then a dozen companies asking for info on what Acacia is asking what can I settle for etc.

I cant disclose exact terms which is against my contract but seems what people are hearing is in line.

Acacia are mother fuckers but our lawyers felt it was in our best interest to settle so we did.

No it's not.. however Canadian entities can be subject to Acacia's patents if they have a US incorporation or host in the US. We are a Canadian company and we host in Canada, but I believe Platinum has US ties as well.

Acacia does not hold any form of their patents in Canada, nor can they. The sheer generality and broadness of their patents, coupled with the technological applications makes it illegal under current Canadian Patent law.
