Yeah I saw that ... plus I think there was also another bombing late last week sometime too that I heard about ... BASTARDS!

My wife is from turkey.... let me know if you need some local info on what to see, where to go.. should you decide to go.

We went for a month back in October....incredible country...and the dollar goes far.

When we landed (in an obviously military plane) in Turkey in '76, they stopped the plane out on the ramp and picked up this little pencil-neck geek from the embassy to give us a briefing while we taxi'd to our parking spot. While he is telling us to take nothing military off the plane, including underwear stenciled with our names on it, we are taxiing past all the planes that various and sundry terrorist groups had blown up. Unlike here, they didn't do much to clean them up - just pushed them off to the side.

I am pretty sure I was the only one of the 20+ guys to leave the hotel. I am very sure I met gawdamitey in Istanbul ... that, or the Uzo was even better than I thought. :hic:
