I have an Alexa tool bar. Last night I was working on some things. I went to one of my domains to check if something had been updated. The domain is http://certifiedcontent.com

The tool bar said 808 !!! I was like huh?? How can that domain be ranked 808? #1 There is no web site actually there, hence no page views. #2 It's an "ok" domain and all, there is no way it would ever get that many type-ins.

Ok, so I go straight to Alexa, do a search for "certified content" and I get this : http://www.alexa.com/data/details/?url=cer...fiedcontent.com (http://www.alexa.com/data/details/?url=certifiedcontent.com)

What the frick site is that? I can not figure out the relation here at all. Anybody have any idea? Obviously a mistake--but why or how??

I mean I would happy to say I have 808 ranked web site on Alexa, IF I really did :)

Did you just register it recently? P'raps someone had it before you and had it redirecting to this other site that's showing up in Alexa.

That is a good question. I didn't even know so I had to look it up, lol :)

I have had it since June '01 it says on whois. Don't know if that is long enough or not and I don't if someone else had it before or not.

Well I am not sure about this though. It says the creation date was June '01 and it was last updated in June '03. Does that mean the entire domain record was created in June '01 and maybe I bought it in June '03? Because now that I think about it, I don't remember having that domain that long.

To add to my domain mystery. I just looked up my receipt for domain and its dated Jan '02 !! WTH?

certifiedcontent.com has been crossed with edunet4u.net and thats how you're getting the results you're seeing.
