View Full Version : Why do people think it is ok to come into your

When you come to someone's board.. You need to feel your way around and find out what is going on before you post a bunch of crap....

For the record for the newbies...

Serge and MikeAI own/run this board... You come in here and try to prove how cool you are by immediately screwing with Serge or Mike or insulting Oprano, you are proving only one thing, that you are an idiot....

You go over to Lens's board and start insulting Lens, GFY or Adult.com, then you are again only proving one thing... You are an idiot...

Same thing for Netpond, VNWR, ANS whatever...

When you are in someone else's house, act accordingly...

If you want a soapbox to insult the people on a board, then go build a fucking soapbox for yourself.. Go buy he server space, install the script , register the domain and have at it....

But to come into someone else's place and to attack, insult, denigrate and otherwise act like a complete asshole and not expect to get taken down is at best Naive and at worst Stupid as all get out....

The first amendment stops at the door. Nobody has to put up with the garbage when they pay for the soapbox.

Oprano has always been one of the freeest/least censored boards on the net... But, there are limits to everything.

Just imho of course.

maybe it's because if some people had a brain they would take it out and play with it.

As usual, sarettah, you make some very good points.

Got me to thinking, though ...

... if a the owner of a 4 star restaurant constantly hands out business cards at Bubba's Oil Change, Bar, and Methadone Clinic, can that same owner really get all pissy when they start attracting people who shoot the wine steward for pulling out a corkscrew because the only thing they know it as is a weapon?

And does it matter whether the undesirable element is Bubba himself or one of his automotive/alcohol/methadone customers?

Of course ... strange as it may seem ... it could all be a contrived marketing ploy by both parties ....

Nah. THAT would never happen, would it?

sarettah - :wnw: great post

only thing is there is not a limit to stupidity (or so it seems) - maybe the limit is when the stupid light a match to see where the gas smell is coming from

PD - you have an interesting point

Bump

and I might bump this post everyday

New members should read it before engaging in undesirable activities

Not discouraging anyone form posting, in fact the more good minds the merrier

Just asking for a little thought and something good to add to the gumbo

Take this thread, and the one where folks were temporarily trying to help Grogan (until it was revealed he's totally beyond help), put them together and call it the Newbie Orientation file and give it a link.

Yeah, half seriously. Might be worth it.
