Is that net 1 mil per year before or after Pornodoggy's Great Society takes it's "rightful" share....

Just curious....doesn't change my answer, which is:

I follow Brad around to catch the money falling out of his pockets...

I took some good advice from my tax planer:

"Own nothing - Control everything"

Is there such a thing as an honest millionaire? Sounds like a tainted vote from the start then. B)

Nick, couldja lend me $999,999? Just for the vote, that is! Give it to your right back afterwards. ... Honest! :P

I love stats and numbers....

Tough to tell if everyone is being honest, but these are actually breaking down about the way I would've guessed. Especially the fact that as of the time I am writing this everyone either falls into the below $125K club or over $1 million club. There's no inbetween.

It would also be interesting to look solely at networth. It continually amazes me how many people in this business either are currently or in the past have had really strong monthly incomes but no real assets or networth to show for it.

It amazes me that someone can make 5 figures per month or more, but yet live in a rented house and have piss poor credit.

Well you know how credit can be trashed so easily and how long bad credit hangs around.
It's quite likely that the folks you're speaking of had bad credit before getting into the biz (probably the reason they *did* get into the biz) and in spite of the money they're making, they've still got that tarnished credit.

If you've got bad credit, it doesn't really matter how much money you can put down on a house. You're probably NOT going to get a loan. You could pay for the house outright, but that wouldn't make your credit rating any better and it would eat up all of your "liquifiable" money.

Plus there's some folks that don't believe in buying a house; they'd rather rent something and be able to move around when they want or not be ultimately responsible for repairs, etc.

And of course you always get those folks whose money burns a hole in their pocket. As soon as they get it, it's gone - into shiny cars, expensive clothes, expensive watches, partying all the time, $300 sunglasses, stuff like that. They end up with a lot of cool stuff and they look rich, but after spending all of it they're still struggling to pay the rent and utilities.

People and the way they view money... it's extremely fascinating and extremely frustrating at the same time. :)

Everything is relative in this world...

I think I am the ONLY ONE here who is $200,000 and 1/2 a house below than one was in 2000....

When I used to work for others in the real world, I was a lazy fuck. I would call in sick every Monday, and try to get out of work on Fridays, and fuck coming in on the weekend.

Then I got into this biz, and now I go to sleep around 2 am (almost falling asleep at the wheel) and get up usually around 7am (at work again) - nothing lazy about me anymore.

Then I read threads like this and it makes me want to work more and wish the days were even longer.

Congrats to everyone on your success, there is no better feeling.

You are very right. Bad credit is something that takes time to fix... normally over 7 years. I was lucky to have a mom who pushed me to not screw up my credit. It has paid off....

I am always pushing friends to be responsible with credit - I know many people in the business who make a TON of money, and who have a huge net wealth - yet have poor credit so it limits what they can accomplish, and eventually costs them much more over time.

In many ways in this country, having great credit is better then being a millionaire....

Thankfully, when I was making good money, I socked most of it away. I've been living partially on savings/investments for the last 18 months. People thought I was nuts for buying such a small inexpensive house when I easily could have bought something 3 times the price. Boy I'm glad I didn't listed to them, lol!

I've also been able to keep a good credit rating - not something I had in 20's and I certainly learned a valuable lesson.

Here in the UK there's 3 companies that hold your credit record and if you pay them all (if your debt is under £70k and you didn't go bankrupt) they'll clear your report... not sure what the cost is but I'm sure to some its worth it

Maybe next year, or the year after that, or the year after that, or the year after that. Depends when my mom dies and I inherit her.

I was wondering about that too. With his sense of humor, I predict he'll have her stuffed and sell her on Ebay "Your very own Mom - who will keep her mouth shut and never bother you, correct you or criticize your choices in companions." :P
