I was quoted in a local paper when his partner in laugher Jackie Gleason died many moons ago

this is a sad day for me

I was a true fan of his work

not that most would care or have the oppurtunity but his Star on Hollywood is located at 6627 Hollywood Blvd.

Exactly what I was thinking. Too many comedians rely upon shock to
make people laugh. It is the crudest form of humor, and the easiest to pull off.
