As the pioneer of building AVS sites to garner the upsells , and once owning 10% of the links on Adult Checks links. - best idea I have ever had -
( Yes , I thought I'd boast about it! And it worked great til I told Meat and he told frickin everyone!!!!!) ;-))))

I was sorry to see posts on other boards effectively seeming to be announcing them closing there doors.

Nick, I can only quote something I heard from my wife today...

When John Rockefeller died, his accountant was asked
How much money did he leave???

Acountant answered the truth:
ALL OF IT

;-0))

The King is dead....Long Live the King

I love Sue :inlove:

While AC may be tossing aside most of their affiliates, I look at this as an excellent opportunity for SPP to grow even biggger and faster than ever before.

I may owe those guys a couple drinks by the time the dust settles.

I thought the end of AVS wouldn't truly be near until the 3 biggest AVS went down, AdultCheck being one of them.

Seems they're "restructuring". Keeping a group of their top affiliates and having them sign something like contracts to be "content providers". The sites will be hosted on AC's servers and the people who make them will be "first tier" (whatever that means). I think there are about 100 of those webmasters. Another 250 or so webmasters have been contacted as a "second tier", to send traffic only - I suppose the way they'll officially put it down on paper is "these people are *selling* us traffic".

It's smart, but it sure does cut out a lot of people who've made good money on AVS and who had sites still in there generating them a check each month even though they hadn't been touched in ages.

Ahh well. Gotta do what ya gotta do to keep the business going. I'm glad at least to see AC changing and adapting rather than just shutting down completely.
