Just saw it, on IMAX none the less....

Visually it looks great. Battle scenes and effects kick some major ass. Mixed feelings on the storyline though.

Without spoiling anything, suffice to say there's a lot less matrix and a lot more Zion.

If you've seen the first two, you have to see the third, but I dont think it's going to be the grand finale that most people were hoping for.

I've still got to see it!!!

Unfortunately I don't think it will be in IMAX format when I do, I'll be lucky to see it on the big screen at all.

Heh, I still need to see the 2nd one. I'm a very deprived person.

If you thought the second movie was a bit too "wordy", then you are gonna be quite disappointed in the third. I swear the entire first hour was 99% yacking.

I've only seen part one myself.

I just really don't care much for Keanu, he is way too dorky and it just ruins it for me. I always think of him as that retarded stoner character from those Bill and Ted movies.

I just spoke with our Design Guru on ICQ and he was telling me that it was AWFUL.... not even worth the $8 to see it. *sigh*

I admit I was disappointed with Reloaded.... I was hoping they would redeem themselves with Revolutions... I guess not. He saw it with a large group of "geek friends" (his words, not mine - lol) and ALL were disappointed.

The critics haven't been kind either... usually I ignore them, but the THUMBS DOWN reviews and 19 geeks thinking it was a waste of $8 makes me think that we'd do better this weekend to sit in on Elf with the kids.

<_<

Elf?!?! Please tell me you're joking - that movie doesn't even look worthy of a rental to me.
Go see Revolutions and make up your own mind - besides, the kids will love the special effects :) :) :)

(My personal rule on a movie is always believe the opposite of what the "reviewers" say - then you're pretty close to the truth :awinky:)

I mostly liked the movie. The action scenes in the battle for Zion were pretty awesome. The story kind of lagged at the start of the movie, but the plot picked up nicely after the first 3rd of the movie. Some good new additions to the story, like the railroad place.

If you saw the first 2 matrix movies you kind of have to see this one just to find out how they end the story. There are so many ideas opened up in the first movie that the conclusion was bound to be a letdown for some people. Overall I say it was a good movie, but the least inspiring out of the 3 movies.

By we, she means her and her imaginary friend. Because I know she doesn't think I'm going to go with her.
