Was Daniel Pearl CIA?

I hit a web page talking about Daniel Pearl the other day and it joked saying:

'If Daniel Pearl has been a journalist how come know one recalls reading anything he has ever done?'

Basically stating the guy never wrote an article ever but was flown all around the world, and was a CIA spy.

Havent looked up much on it, but wanted to see what some of you thought.

Yet he was sure made to be shown to the world and executed

I think the guy was CIA myself, you?

Journalists are probably the biggest source of information for the CIA in one hell of a lot of places.

I don't know if Pearl was actually on the payroll, but I would imagine he traded information to one extent or another with them.

Well, the Wall Street Journal and The New York Times are definitely CIA controlled for the most part.

But I agree journalists are a source of info for them either way.

There is actually a law on the books that prohibits the CIA from using undercover CIA to be journalists as it places all journalists at a risk, but we all know how the CIA works.

They made sure to write a clause to it 'only under certain circumstances.

So they do it all the time.

Ive read also maybe he was playing both sides, the CIA and the Mussad.

Torone, why are you posting under another name? :rolleyes: I mean, please ... the CIA controls two entities as divergent as the WSJ & NYT in order to provide us with fair and balanced mind control?

That allegation is probably made about every Jew who is suspected of ties to the intelligence community.

Do I think there are journalists who also work for the CIA? Yep. But to come back up to reality from the depths of Conspiracy 101 for a minute, you have to remember that the "bread and butter" of both spooks and journalists is intelligence. They will undoubtedly be working the same (or at least overlapping) sources. They will undoubtedly be scratching each other's backs in order to work those sources to mutual advantage.

I did not mean it was under the CIA's control, I just mean they surely have some kind of influence wit it.

Possibly over what may be said if something is leaked etc.

I mean come on, its the New York Times.

they have to be watching it etc...
