WB, Colin. Where you been hiding out?

Econony. It had could only go upward at this point. Ah, but I'm sure the Bush Admin will skip the fact they brought it down so far into the abysss and spin this into a whopping "plus" for how great they are ...

Whooo! I was inspired by the PornoDoggy Muse there for a moment. But I'll leave this floor so the real PD can come continue from here. :)

Actually the US economy grew at an average pace last year. About 3%. That despite an abysmal performance by important trading partners in Japan and Western Europe.

Where's the jobs?
What is it you expect? 6% is the average unemployment rate from 1970-present. Today it is 6.1%. Maybe we've just returned to the average. The unemployment rate today is the same as it was in 1994 and less than most of the 1980's.

What's a reasonable long-term average for unemployment? 6%? 5%? 7%?
6% seems reasonable to me based on the past record and how well that stacks up with other industrialized nations.

As long as population rises, 6% unemployment today will mean there are more unemployed than with the same 6% recorded in 1994, 1979, 1974, 1971 or any other similar year.

But 3 million jobs were lost and the recovery is TOO fast we will experience heavy duty inflation.

Look athe bond markets are they excited? No. Reason? Inflation.

Labor experts, are they happy? No. Reason? Because companies are taking Bush's tax incentive and opening plants across the border.

Jobs will come but in the service industry which means the average worker will make 1/4 of what they made before the recession.

7% is too high and too fast to be anything but money. Not future growth just immediate cash in the pocket.

Besides do you think Bush is good to have in office for our industry its like those banana republicans in the gay community. Not a good idea to support anything with his cabinet the way it is.

Even staying completely legal means nothing to the DOJ. Its a christian thang.
