Carrie, British Airways gives a whole new meaning to flying in Business Class. The seats recline flat like a bed. It is the only way to make such a long journey---10.5 hours there from LAX, 11.5 back. Ugh.

Serge, what was the verdict? Did you get the tickets at that price?

hehe. yeah i couldnt find anything in there.

anybody here ever priced virgin air first class international tix?

i priced tix to paris one time first class...

$25,000 A PIECE... course you get a massage, so i guess that makes it all worth it :-/

meanwhile...I found $1000 fares to Amsterdam business class from Miami,
so...one way or another, I'm going somewhere, because dealing will pissed off Sue is not fun either

Is that non-stop? Yuck. The longest I have done is 18 hours to South America last month, but I had a stop along the way.

You and Kevin should get together and console each other. Dealing with a pissed off Darci isn't all that fun, either. :)

I would have tortured Expedia until they relented.

Darci,
if I wanted to tourture anybody,
I'd torture Pushrod back in a day, there were much more money in that
than Expedia

LOL @ Eatapeach... back off! He's MINE! ALL MINE!! :P

The worst story I've ever heard of air travel was when Murray was telling me about flying back to Oz from Buffalo, NY with a full-leg cast on. Yuk! But he said it was the best flight he ever had, they gave him a free upgrade to business so he could fit (he's like 6'6" or something) and the stewardesses doted all over him, bringing him extra helpings of food and holding up a sheet for him while he went to the bathroom with his big long cast sticking out of the door.
I wouldn't want to do it!

And for a $25k plane ticket you'd better be giving me more than a massage and three virgins... god! People actually PAY that? I guess it's true what they say about folks with more money than brains, hehe

where is a will - there is a way...

I found something interesting:
Miami to Amsterdam business class $1094 non stop,
few days in Amsterdam, leaving to London for few days $237 (1hr 35 mins flight)
and coming back to Miami, week total.

NOW this one is a contender!

Amsterdam - London is only a 35 minute flight,
